Hello! It’s great to hear from you! My language journey has been quite a journey-after doing some self-study, I enrolled in a one-year intensive Korean program to prepare for the TOPIK exam. Once I started my master’s program, I continued with self-study to maintain and improve my skills. You’re right, most programs are in Korean, so learning the language is definitely important. That depends on the program you choose yo apply to. The GKS scholarship program offers a one year Korean trainning before starting going to the University. But if studying in Korea interest you, I strongly recommend learn as much as possible the language before you come!

My best advice to keep in mind is that is really important to make time to explore the universities and programs you are intrested in, and of course, tailor your research proposal for the selected programs accordingly. What's most important is to be patient and organized, there's a lot of information to process before the application for the GKS-G Scholarship, but this is what I think it makes all the difference at the end! :)
