Did this on mine a few months ago. Really not that bad. They recommend replacing the engine screws if you loosen them but I didn’t yet. Still holding up well.
Do you need to support the engine while removing the torque mount?
No you do not. It just supports the engine side to side while you're driving / driving hard.

They use fuel faster than you could kick over buckets. The engines make ~900 revolutions, then time for a complete rebuild. ... On the other hand, the Apollo Saturn V rocket had 55,000 horsepower... ...fuel pumps!! 55,000hp fuel pumps. Five of them. Fuel pumps: 55,000hp.
I know its been 10 years but is it ok to just leave it like that and dont put a steel pipe going to the back part or no?
I still own this car...it now has 217,000 miles without any issues with the exhaust pointing down like that.

Hello...yes I daily drive my F...it's a 2008 and I purchased it on September 17th, 2008. It currently has 201,000 miles and I removed the muffler and resonator probably 150,000 miles ago. Has zero issues. Drone is not bad at lower gears, but when you're on the freeway cruising, my grandma can sit in it and it's just fine.

1 it cost me $80 to cut the exhaust and resonator off and then weld that 90 degree bend on. If you don’t like it, put it back...maybe another $100-$150 to put it back. I promise you’ll like it. The noise is intoxicating

CEL = Check Engine Light. Depending on the state, you may fail your smog check. I live in California...CEL = FAIL = NO CAR REGISTRATION. I think there is a way around it, but you'll have to check the forums.
Tommy Le I did the work already. no check engine light. I'm in Texas but smog not do till next year. By that time I'll be back in AZ where they don't care lol

No codes, no power loss that I can feel at least. It's not loud when you drive around normally. Just has a really nice rumble. But when you floor it, my friends say it's obnoxious loud. When I get on the freeway, if I'm in 2nd gear or 3rd gear flooring it, I do notice quite a bit of times someone to the left of me look over almost to say "where the hell is that noise coming from" and their windows are rolled up.
Did you notice any power loss? Or did any codes show up?

When you floor it, yes, it's pretty raspy and crazy sounding. People will never think that you're in a Lexus. But if you drive like a normal human being, it isn't very noisy at all. My gauge? My mom...she doesn't even complain about it when I drove her around a few times.
