The question being asked is for the best " Che gelida manina " NOT just the high B. For me the one that casts the longest shadow is when Carlo Bergonzi sung it on his Met Debut. I think it's the one being used here. It was around 1958. You can hear it on RUclips. It's sublime. Jussi Bjorling and Leonard Bernstein also thought it was very very special.

Wondereful voices, extremely difficult to compare and say which one is the best. As far as I am concerned Montserrat Caballe is the one I prefer. It really depends on so many facts.

Потому что Vittoria Corelli - всегда будет лучшей. Остальных можно сравнивать между собой .. для соревнования за 2,3,4,5 все последующие места. Можно спокойно прислушаться и выбрать - к кому душа лежит. Конечно, некоторые из этих больших теноров были прекрасными Cavaradossi, - интересными, блестящими, замечательными. Но никогда их Vittoria не будет лучшей, и никогда уже они не станут первыми. Потому что 1 - Corelli. Навсегда.
