Just enjoy like the girl behind Miah Persson. Thanks to who recorded this movie and thanks Mozart. Update 12.25.2016 : the girl behind is Katy Hill, english soprana.
Die beste Aufnahme, die ich jeh gehört habe...
gorgeous swede
Bliss🥰🥰🥰
Oh, I was wondering the moment this clip started: while the conductor is John Eliot Gardiner, the orchestra isn't his English Baroque Soloists, but a modern orchestra. I also see my dear Ann Hallenberg seated behind, who must've been the Soprano 2. I would LOVE to hear her "Laudamus te". I can also suggest two other rendition of this aria, "companion/comparison versions", if you will: Barbara Bonnie also with JEG as well as Camilla Tilling with Paul McCreesh.
Breathtakingly beautifully sung by Miah Persson!!!!!❤️👌 Very nice job from them all!!! 🎶
xD
Miah Persson makes listening a mass almost an erotic experience, especially 6:10
Is that the Monteverdi choir?
Miah is a Goddess....Good to see Frazier Crane in there too!
Sorry, but no one has yet lived up to the challenge of Arleen Auger! Tone and technique unparalleled, with bottomless lungs, Auger took Bernstein's slow tempo for a walk in the park!
Yes, listened again to Arleen Augér / Bernstein. No comparison possible !
It's painful because it is so beautiful...
What a beautiful lady Miah is, her voice perfect......
She sings those trills so gorgeously and effortlessly.
Beautifully done. I still prefer Ms Auger singing, but she did it very beautifully as well
Yeah, yeah. The girl smiling behind Miah Persson is great and all, but I kinda like the blonde to the smiling girl's left, looking like she's just waking up from a weekend-long bender, wondering how the hell she got there.
Where is the lick my arse piece?
Sod off!!!
Any chance you have the rest of this performance. If so, please put it up!!!!
What a beautiful voice. Eighty some years and an opera fan... why have I just encountered this lovely person?
The way how the virtuosty of the voice is mixed with the arabesques of he winds is absolutely awesome !!!!!!!!!
Tout simplement sublime et avec une simplicité et une telle aisance ....
When Miah Persson sings this gem of a masterpiece, you are likely to [foolishly] say to yourself: 'It can't be hard to sing this, you don't see her making a supreme effort to sing it.' And THAT makes this performance so breathtakingly beautiful: Miah Persson's: apparent effortlessness. But of course, don't fool yourself: this piece is monstrously difficult, and it takes someone like her to fool us that it's just nothing--in fact, I can do it in my sleep. Needless to say, we cannot take our eyes off her and stop listening to her enviable voice. Thanks! BTW, the entire performance of the Great Mass (see RUclips) & all the performers are just brilliant, thanks to Sir John Eliot Gardiner who chose well and conducts divinely.
Couldn't say better
Exquisite. Sometimes when she starts the notes they're not always completely on tune, but she fixes them immediately, and the way she sings the high C is something otherwordly. I love her
Hello, dear friend!!! Please see us on RUclips. Thank you so much and welcome on ours concerts. ruclips.net/video/NIPGgz1GEng/видео.html Yours Prague Male Chamber Choir
bof
She is consistently flat, pretty awful. Not a patch on Sylvia McNair in 1987, or Barbara Bonney in 1990.
Not to mention Arleen Auger with Leonard Bernstein in 1990. A concert that saw Bernstein dead in less than a year. Auger, only a few years later.😿
And Ileana Cotrubas with Raymond Leppard with Kiri Te Kanawa as soprano II...
✔️
Bravissima!!!,wonderful sweet voice and beautiful soprano!!!
The full concert is beautiful; and specially the Mozart Mass. And Miah... as I already wrote is just perfect! But also the orchestra, the 2 choirs, the other soloists, the conductor... I bought the DVD and I must say the DVD sound (DTS or DDD 5.1) is much better suited to listen on my stereo.
l'Incarnatus est di Miha Persson è forse la più bella versione che abbia mai sentito...direi perfezione...sublime
The girl behind Miah Persson is Katy Hill. I saw her sing the solo-parts in Händel's Dixit Dominus, (also under Gardiner) and she melted my heart. Her smile simply sums up Miah Persson's glorious Performance here.
No. The smiling soprano is Emma Walshe. Katy Hill is the mezzo soprano seen singing alongside Emma in the performance of Dixit Dominus (De Torrente …..) which you refer to and is available here on RUclips.
@@martincole9445 Oh I'm sorry, I must have mixed them up! They do look a bit similar to me... Thanks for correcting the mistake! Both are amazing singers.
Katy Hill was singing Handel’s Tecum in principium (in Dixit Dominus). I think she’s behind Miah Persson.
Also she was singing De Torrente. And she’s soprano.
Just perfect! thanks Miah...
where can i see this beauty with an angelic voice singing??? even thru a cage and one eye only.
Cosi fan tutti. On blu ray. She is fabulous and the presentation is wonderful
c'est un ange qui descend du ciel
Miah, would you marry me?
+Kradomir Choukroutov no.
lol
Sublime! I am moved to tears of joy! Miah Persson is remarkable! A Swedish treasure! Divine!!!
Dans Et Incarnatus Est Miah Persson est très émouvante et Mozartienne ! Magnifique interprétation, pour moi le plus beau timbre Mozartien et je l adore !!!!
+martine genevet ...moi également...Quelle page musicale Mozartienne ...! La voix humaine et les instruments à vent en communion intime...!
A perfect marriage between music and singer. Indeed! Holy ground.
Thank you from another classical and jazz violinist, so beautiful, so peaceful Thank you!
Utterly beautiful, perfect. As others have said, the girl smiling behind just sums up what a joy this is.
+tonbar tonbarhg .....thought I was the only one who noticed the girl smiling behind ;) ... she looks to be somewhat in awe. I wonder who SHE is?
+Shaun Chandler Anyone that sighs at the end of such a magnificent rendition surely understands that the power of music is through the heart, not through all the textbooks written throughout history. Anyway the power of the internet reveals all - good luck with your career Katy Hill!
+1 "tonbar tonbarhg" Jun 2015 See www.google.com/search?q=Katy+Hill+%28soprano%29 and www.bach-cantatas.com/Bio/Hill-Katy.htm The passages pointed are IIUC e.g. 1:24, 1:37, 1:39, and many more, when (as many others in the soprano group in Miah's background) she throws discreet winks or glances onto Miah. Thanks Merlin1940. I read your comment after the events today in Orlando, wondering where the world is heading. Listening to this piece again, with Mozart, Mia and orchestra in perfect harmony, and seeing Katy's appreciation of the whole thing, was very replenishing, and reminds me of what we are capable of at our very best. Thanks again for the note and the links!
"tonbar tonbarhg" Sun 12 Jun 20:52 « _after the events today in Orlando, wondering where the world is heading_ » World is heading to liberties, power and weapons being more and more _added_ to governments and their polices and more and more _removed_ from citizens, hence massacres of innocent citizens becoming more and more frequent and deadly. Monopoly of arms always and automatically increases mass killings. Liberties always disappear under tons of applause Mon 13 Jun 2016 10:05 GMT
Ohh God Miah is so beautiful.
Olé , miah persson! Brava. Que dicción, fraseo como eleva los agudos. Las agilidades, los trinos, todo. Gracias por compartir el vídeo.
As the movie 'Amadeus' had Sallieri saying: "God is singing through this little man!" (meaning Mozart), I kinda think the angels are singing through Ms. Persson!
Such a lovely rendition by Miah Persson, an angel's voice from God!
Holy Cow - could well be correct! Till now I only knew Margaret Marshall's version, and I literally felt I was standing on holy ground! This is maybe even more DIVINE!
Sublime is a wonderful description of this..Oh MY!!!!
...holy cow. mercy.
Sublime. It almost makes me believe...
Yes, this is a very special moment, Mozart, the Nobel Prize concert with Kings attending, Mia, the girl behind smiling, the conductor, the musicians, all is in place...a moment of civilisation...
