Wunderlich updated their design. The old version could slide forward especially once damaged (😊). The old version did not clamp on the backside of the bar. The new design clamps both on the front and the back. This is a big improvement. I have them on my new GS and mounting is pretty similar. Have fun and ride safe!

Just a useless item that will cause your GS to overheat faster and bends into your cylinder heads as the bike is too heavy for these plates made just to make a profit, do not buy these unless you have no clue how to ride offroad.
Hello IronHorseGladiator. Thank you for your comment. I guess I am the one needing them - see my confession at ruclips.net/video/jpStWxpuB4o/видео.html 😊. My GSA is water cooled so I am not too worried about overheating. They are not perfect though, more related to the mounting. They bend indeed once you ‘use’ them but the energy needs to be absorbed somewhere so bending is not my concern. However, you might need to remount / tighten them if they bend.

Hello Jose. Tast is personal. If you ask me I believe the alu version looks better. The crash bars are alu colour too and with black you get a clear cover on the side. With alu it blends in. Downside with black is that you will see alu scratches if you once drop the bike. My humble opinion. Good luck with your choice.

Do you have the cornering adaptive headlight on your GSA that pivots up when you're leaned into a corner? Does the AltRider protector interfere with that function?
Hello Michael. I don't have the adaptive headlight. Mine is 2020 model. So I cannot tell you if it interferes. Have a great day!
I think your issue was putting the firebox inside that kettle where airflow from bottom was poor.

Oh man. Nothing worse than knowing your bike is falling over and you can’t stop it. Mine is 420 kilos so not stopping it once it crosses the point of no return! Fantastic video of real life on a dirt road.
Yep. Funny thing is that I didn’t notice. Took the left pannier off to put it aside. When I turned around I saw that the bike fell over. Didn’t even hear it. 😃

Beautiful video. You should take a day and rent a sailboat, or walk the docks till you find a racing team that needs crew. Check out the Yacht club Gdansk. They are known to be home to some great racers. Enjoy the next leg of your trip.

Super tent. Hilleberg is all season and known for its winter and rough weather stability. Love to know how it does in warm weather. Enjoy the trip.
Until now it's great. The only downside is that it doesn't dry as fast and I need to pack it moist every day. Outside and inside (condensate). I certainly recommend, not too warm yet.
