Student Pilot Training |Episode 1|

Join me on my journey to getting my Private Pilots License! Today my instructor and I flew from KFMY (Page Field) to X14 (Labelle Municipal) to practice some touch and go’s. After battling some gusts of wind on the final approach of my first touch and go, I believe I started to get the hang of it. This new series will consist of sharing portions of my training to not only document my journey as...

Are the new 2025 Versions all with the real exhaust?
Они как индусы
same tech that is beating up Ur troops Rember that
Tampa🎉
Any other modifications on your sq5 when this video was recorded or just the sport exhaust itself?
Bought one of these 5 months ago. Safe to say, im sticking with gulfstream moving forward.
What do you do for work
Unless you’re talking about g200s you were never in the business of buying up a hawker. Completely different ballgame. So you’re lying on one end or the other 😂
Bro you are awesome
Always like the hangars with windows! Where was this??
Textron Aviation at Tampa International!
Nice
i saw one of these on the highway about a week ago, and it looked sick AF and i cant stop thinking about these. Thinking of trading the s3 for this
Im doing the exact same thing lmaoo
gosh im considering between S3 and SQ5... Isn't S3 more special and under the radar kind of thing? @@drew843
Dumping the s4 for one these are unreal
Maybe upgrade to an RS3 from the S3?
They finallly put real exhaust back ?
It is an extra option now, for around 1400 usd aprox
does it comes with valves?
It’s valved and the pops and bangs don’t begin until is warmed up from what I’ve seen.
My dude hit ATP mins off this trip
This is how you make an aviation video. Engine, cockpit and views. No music needed! Just subscribed
Good ole O-200
It would have been helpful with some verbal narration along the way!
So awesome thanks.
Those skys looked scary at 4:12
Yeah for sure, by far the worst weather was experienced in Maryland lol. On top of it being gloomy, it was very cold. Didn’t have a Carbon Monoxide sensor so we couldn’t use the cabin heat! Toes were frozen.
@@thecockpitperspective6364 goodness i couldn't handle the cold. I live in Maryland but you where flying over the Eastern shore, I live on the other shore as we call it (western shore). Hope you guys have had great adventures since then
New video has been posted! A lot shorter of a flight and I walk you through a quick VFR flight to Tampa!
Wow! Such a cool trip!
🔥🔥👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Great flight video! Glad to see others using our beloved 150 platform to take you places near and far.
More to come!
@@thecockpitperspective6364 Is it a basic 6 pack? I am buying one this week and I will be out of cash to upgrade the panel for a long time
@@ahmedsalaheldinas yes it is a basic six pack
@@ahmedsalaheldinas congrats on your upcoming purchase!
@@thecockpitperspective6364 Thank you! The deal has been done for over 3 weeks but the plane is getting out of annual this week finally. The magnetos overhaul took a while. I am excited to finally put the ground school work to action. I was just iffy because there is too much information about the VFR use of CDI and I don’t have one lol
Student Pilot here and a new owner of a 150. My question is - where you able to "top off" with fuel on your stops or did you have to leave some weight off? Loved the video !
Sorry about the delayed response! We overpacked on our trip so we were really just trying to learn the planes fuel burn and efficiency. So with that said we never topped the plane off. On top of the weight issue, we faced a decent headwind almost the entire flight home. Because we were moving so slow we planned our stops after about 3-4 hours each leg. We really did burn about 5 gph consistently which was great.
If I were flying solo with light luggage I would’ve nearly filled the plane up completely and made some longer legs!
By the time you made it to Florida, you definitely built all the XC hours required for IFR😂
For real 😂😂
Redline it, wanna hear a real Sq5 exhausts. Ain't gonna speed 65k for fake tips
no fake tips on this years model, but in regards to the 2020-2022 models I couldn’t agree more!
@@thecockpitperspective6364 Hey thanks for the sound clip. So you mean to say that the 2023 SQ5 models have real exhaust now? when building it do you have to choose a hidden option, as I don't see it anywhere.
@@fciscokid I believe they got rid of the fake exhaust in 2023, however I might be wrong. If the fake exhaust tips are still standard, the audi sport exhaust system is the option that eliminates that.
I just got my 2023 sq5 with the same exhaust like i. This video, but I met a guy on my Block he had the same 2023 prestige and he had fake exhaust🤦🏻♂️,I would burn inside of me if I had fake tips whats the point of getting 70k car and look like tesla lol
@@armendzeneli6709 I’d be pissed that the guy down the block bought the same car as me 😂 I’d drive by to rev it and say now these are real exhaust, 😂 jk I cringe when I see an expensive car with fake exhaust.
Looks more like a 152. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
It is a 150.
Great video. My only suggestion would be to add time stamps.
😉 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙢
Thanks for the trip. I grew up on Sanibel/Captiva islands. Fun watching you fly home.
Awesome man! Small world Thanks for watching 😎✈️
I’m surprised it only took 10hrs. Loved the video hoping for more. Just subbed
My brother is teaching me to fly in his 1969 150, aviation is a drug I swear ! It looks like you had a great adventure.
It is time to ground that old bird!
Thanks for the ride.
Thank You for not adding stupid/basic music that I cannot stand listening to. I usually just mute most peoples Videos. I love the sound of your 0-200 Continental, smooth! Just like my 150. Really enjoyed.
Bought a 150f yesterday and i have to fly it from northern alberta to nova scotia, 2200 nm. This is inspiring!
Congrats on your purchase! Safe travels!
Did or are you going to make a RUclips video?
@@jimmyjoe6159 no, took 1000s of pictures on my way to nova scotia but no videos. It was a fun trip!
I just started my PP and it’s super fun, also great seeing reading as I’m from that area but I’m stationed at Charleston! Cool video!
That’s great, glad you’re having a good time with it! Thanks for watching!
Wow how many hours total flying time including fuel stops and total fuel consumption used and total number of fuel stops did it take for that trip just curious thks
It was around 14 hours of total flight time, much longer than I signed up for! We burned around 5 gallons per hour consistently which puts the total fuel consumed around 70ish gallons. Each stop was a fuel stop, probably could’ve stretched her legs a little bit farther before stopping for fuel each time but wanted to get to know the plane. We had 4 stops meant for refueling.
@@thecockpitperspective6364 14 hours is mint bro I can drive a car from Massachusetts to Punta Gorda FL in a lil less than 24 hrs so your saving over ten hours obviously the plane is expensive buy how much is fuel per gallon?
So it’s only a couple of hours faster than driving. Note to self: need at least a cirrus sr22 😀
@@MrGW95 i apologize for the delayed response, the cost of fuel was ranging between $4.50-$7.50 per gallon between the different stops!
Most of my flight experience in my 150 is twice the gas and half the time vs driving.
Looks like a great time and learning experience.
It really was. Thanks so much for watching.
Looks like a great time.
Excellent video, makes me want to complete my private pilot license!! Great job editing and keeping it in a reasonable time frame !!
You definitely should. Thank you so much for watching, William!
Congratulations on the purchase and my condolences….lol….Purchasing my 172 was an exhilarating experience. Ownership is great but you got a new expense. The positive….No more rental scheduling, conflicts and cancellations due to maintenance…..The more you fly the more cost effective ownership is…..hooray!!! 900mile, 10hr flight in a 150….You probably didn’t feel it being excited about the new plane but that’s brutal…lol I do a 4hr in my 172 and I call I a day. Btw….Beautiful plane!
Renting was just getting too crazy! I wanted to schedule my flights on my own time so this was the best option. Thanks for watching!
Hey turn comments on for your flying videos, was going to comment this there but couldnt, awesome plane, beautiful flight, im guessing you bought it to learn in, im planning on doing the exact same thing hopefully someday soon, congratulations on the plane have fun with it!
