Firing up a 57 Belair I did some work on for a friend. Custom Tig welded stainless steel 2.5” exhaust with Hedman long tubes and Flowmaster FX mufflers and Full V-bands, I wired the body harness gauges and the Vintage Air, built custom brake lines, and built the exhaust and some other miscellaneous items.

Looks badass on those wheels
Sweet ride.
First drive?....then how did it get in the drive way?
Uh… pulled it out the garage where I built it.
What LS engine is this
6.0 LQ9
I rewired the tail end of my 72 bc my moms husband tore them up when he removed the bumper I had everything going but have to troubleshoot again bc passenger side tail brake and blinker isn’t working anymore
You can purchase just a tail light harness that will plug into the existing round connector that mounts to the frame at the rear of the vehicle. If the rest of the harness is in good shape that may be the most cost effective way to go.
Cam specs?
.585”/.585” 228/230 @.050” 112LSA same specs as Elgin and Sloppy stage 2, all three are manufactured by Elgin but Trickflow sells it for the cheapest price.
Where did you mount the fuel pump
So I'm kind of late to seeing this video, obviously since it was posted in 2011; how's it running now? Did you swap out the stock valve springs? Awesome car. I can't wait to get my LM7 project going
That's a badass lookin ride. Sounds wicked with that turbo woosh.
I too like the way you carefully put the TROLLS to shame. I bet they are still living at home whacking off to internet porn and have a civic with one of those coffee can exhaust tips. Oh and waiting on a check from Obama.
nice!!! keep up the work
I dropped a stock 114k mile 5.3 in my 69 firebird. Ls6 cam and valve springs 100 bucks for the pair, built the turbo kit using the truck manifolds facing forward and down, single s400 turbo. Intercooled at 13lbs and 15 degrees on pump it did 587whp thru a loose converter and a th400.
Lmao very nicely put.
HAHA don't sweat it man, I am about to embark on a similar build, going to be tearing down my car and selling off some parts to cover the build but I am planning a 5.3 BWs400sx with a 76mm on a 1.32ar. Dual in tank pumps no meth all pump gas.may do stock heads on the 5.3 with springs and cam or take my TFS's and put them on a 6.0, that part i'm undecided. Whatever the case may be, that car will go 6's all day once you get the bugs out, likely 5's. What tire and class you run in?
These are really solid numbers with a th400 and stock valve springs. Good job buddy. I am currently doing the 5.3 with a t76 on my camaro.
What's the weight of your car with driver?
Hey buddy, got mine all up and running finally. Thanks for answering those questions a while back. On your TH400, what all is done to it?
so with an MP T70 all you could muster was 406/408 weak
You get some new springs yet to cure your float issue?
BAMF...I dig the original patina and moonies...sneaky guy...
Sweet brother check out my passes
Not bad numbers at all! Awesome ride man!
what were the dyno #'s I hate when peeps dont say, who cars about watching your car spin the rollers, put #'s damit!!
Havent seen this car on LS1tech. id like to see the build.
@tidony Lol, very nice. I will be in the same boat! '82 Mustang, 8.8, no cage or anything also. MPT70/Z06Cam/Dual Springs. Thanks for the replies and videos!
I see. I hope my light build TH350 holds out...I believe I may have underestimated the power output of this combo. I'm running an LM7/MPT70 also. In addition I have the 2002 Z06 Cam, and Dual Spring/titanium seats/keepers/retainers. Most stock cam'd 5.3's I've seen dyno's on hit 450ish RWHP like your own. With the Z06 they usually surpass 500RWHP...ya my TH350 might not work. Very good videos, thank you for putting them up!
Very nice pass for the issues at hand. Better springs and a better suited boost friendly cam should put you over the 500RWHP mark. What RPM are you experiencing the valve float and having to shift at with those stock springs, for curiosity?
Very nice sir! I'm currently in the final stages of getting my MPT70/5.3 setup going, and am very pleased with these numbers even though you had valve float issues! What transmission are you running?
How did it do on the dyno? I'm working on my LM7 in a Volvo 245, but will be starting with a 67mm (Holset HX52). Looks good going down the track!
