    The company was already doomed. They lose viewers every week. They started out around 900,000-950,000 viewers a week for Dynamite. They are down to 700,000 now. The Punk footage gave them a boost this week. Next week will be another low rating. Ratings will keep dropping.

    Vince McMahon had a fake Diesel and Razor Ramon during the origins of the Outsiders in WCW. This is far more juvenile and makes a mockery of AEW. I don't think I've seen a company shoot themselves in the foot like this. This is what high school kids do to try to get back at each other. This is like an episode of Gossip Girl or its rip off Pretty Little Liars, except with supposedly adult men. Did Punk hurt their feelings? Get over it. It's a business. Apparently, Punk is right. AEW isn't a business. Tony brought in Punk to get ratings and move merch. To help him turn a profit. And then Tony fire him because his friends don't want to be in a business. They want to clown around and make their 6 or 7 figure salaries and call themselves EVPs. What did the Bucks do before AEW? Omega and Page were in New Japan and I believe TNA. That's it. WWE wasn't at all interested. Cody left for a reason and didn't seem to have too many negative things to say about Punk when he came back to WWE.

    I miss Tyler in MTL. Such a smart and clutch player. You guys got him for NOTHING seriously. As for Monahan, I'm sure you guys see why he was beloved by Flames fans for years, and for every single games he played here in MTL and been part of the organisation in general. I don't think fans here ever loved like that a player that stayed such a small amount of time here. He's really special on and off the ice. Why did the Flames gave it up along with a FIRST round pick as a cap dump is INSANE to me... WTH seriously! Because of him and Hughes, he gifted not one but TWO first round picks AND veteran help for our young centers/core while being here. Without him, IDK if Suzuki would look so good right now, against the first line of all other teams day in day out, now a ppg guy, and seldom mentioned ironman streak (the rate of injuries has been historic last year, and quite bad this year too, but even when playing with AHL players last year he still improved, and never gets injured which is some kind of black magic here in MTL). I don't remember him missing a single game EVER. This year he finally looks and produce like a first line center while being a beast defensively; IDK if the improvement would have been so dramatic without good ol' Monahan's helping out. Take care of him please you guys. And IMHO, as for Canadian teams in contention, the Jets have been an asset management masterclass these past 2 years. Especially the PLD trade to an apparently bunch of idiots in LA (GLAD Hugues told you guys he wouldn't pay anything for PLD, and good for you guys to maximize the HELL out of a player that even when producing was a defensive liability). It's a team that has find ways to keep being in the convo for the playoff and the West. Your D core and goaltending is great. You have a balanced team that can beat any other on a best of 7. I know a team that likes to call itself "Canada's team" that should take a page from you lol, and unlike the aforementioned big market and star powered Leafs, you're no going to get humilated like they while during the playoffs, as cap is well distributed instead of overpaying BIG TiME for the most unclutched core of elite players in league's history (yes, it's backed up by stats lol :P). I have Texas and Florida has 2nd and 3rd team, but were I cheering up for any other Canadian team, the Jets would be it. The way you guys keep rebounding out of disadvantageous situations all the while being one of the most popular NTC team destination for players, wow... You're like OTT if it was 10 times better managed, had a freaking soul/identity, and you know, some kind of plan to build something (so NOT them, but you know what I mean... Small market Canadian team that do not have the luxury of mismanaging like NYC could for instance, as UFAs aren't lining up to live in WPG, so gaps have to be filled by good asset management). I know Monahan was worth more at his ridiculously low cap hit than a late 1st and the conditional pick we will never see probably, but he was promise to be traded to good playoff team where he could shine (how he keeps doing will dictate his next contract as a UFA, so it's a big deal for him). Plus risking to wait further along the TDL just to squeeze the returns a little bit more would have been too risky because of injuries. Bravo you guys. I hope you go DEEP this yeah :D. Definitely hope you can beat the defending champs along the way; not going to be easy but with a disciplined well oiled team game it's possible!! P.S. please ship us our toast loving Monahan after your run please ;) Or give him a forever home in WPG (I don't think he'll ask too much for his next contract as long as it's a longer term one; which is why I'd like for us to resign him for somelike like 4x5M or something like that).

    They are easily a top contender cuz everyone knows the Jets always bring it during the playoffs (remember when they swept Edmonton as underdogs?). And yes, a lot of people make reference to how they lost to Las Vegas last year, but Las Vegas won the cup, so technically, every team lost to them. There's no shame in losing to the top team.

    Don't get cocky Jets fans. Canucks brought in Elias Lindholm and immediately went into a month long tail spin. The chemistry was off from the start. We're coming around now but all those struggles were from the addition of just one new player not several. Expect an adjustment period and there really is no way to tell for sure how these moves will pan out. Good luck. You have a great team even if we did get the better of you on Saturday. 😉

      Jets seem to get affect by injuries more than other teams. Vilardi is out, and who knows if Hellebuyk was fully over his flu. He says he was but Helly will always say that just to play. This is one of the reasons why Vancouver kicked Winnipeg's ass. Monahan worked out well, no reason why Toffoli shouldn't at least fit on one of the lines. He has played with some of these players before. Also Toffoli can be either paired with Centres Scheifele or Monahan who are different kind of Centres, and either Ehlers or Connor, who are again, different kind of players. As for miller? Who knows. Guess we shall see. Coach Bowness better not be afraid to mix up the lines and try differnt things as quick as possible.

      the last game the Jets played Vancouver was their best game of the season and they dispatched the Nucks easily. • @danielpatterson5189
      @danielpatterson5189 7 месяцев назад

      @@farside1951 not quite as easily as you remember. Vancouver couldn't stop taking penalties that game. Usually they are very disciplined. Also Demko let in a pretty horrible goal that leaked between the arm pit and the post and the pk was just not sharp and our own pp was so flat it actively hurt us. Even so it was still 2-2 in the third. A couple of late mistakes from the Canucks. The kind of mistakes an impatient team makes trying to make things happen in a tight game. In my opinion a couple small tweaks and the game isn't tied in the third and those mistakes never happen. Of course I am biased as well. I'll acknowledge that Hellebuyck wasn't that sharp and we got the Jets a bit tired. The next game should be closer but if Vancouver stays out of the box or even just plays a bit sharper on special teams they win. I predict a 3-1 win next time these teams meet but we'll see.

      @@danielpatterson5189 You are forgetting last time Van and Wpg played, Vilardi wasn't out with injury, Helly didn't have the flu, it wasn't a back to back, and Jets didn't have Tofolli and Miller yet. Once Vilardi is healthy, and those two new Jets get in the lineup, the Jets won't be so easily beaten. But the Jets nor the Nucks is who we should worry about. It's cheating Vegas with all their additions that is scary.

    This is now a team that is easily 4 lines deep and already the best team in the league defensively. They do seem slightly distracted lately and the chemistry seems slightly off as well but I think that's expected with 3 additions now. Let's face it defense wins championships and with this strength they are definitely cup contenders now. If this team goes deep I think the Jets will sign both Tofolli and Miller to 1 to 2 year deals with a slight increase but to do so we'll lose some more guys to waivers. This is going to be a fun ride! The Jets still have a chance at the Presidents Trophy which would be great to have home ice advantage in the playoffs. Do take a look at MacKinnon's contract on Cap Friendly. He definitely set the benchmark for players. Unfortunately some teams will be in Cap Hell because there won't be a significant increase till 2025. As of right now the Leafs are over the Cap, in which they have 5 days to get into Cap Compliance. Matthews probably will stay in Toronto, but if they fail this year to get past round 1 in the playoffs how long will he stay. I had the same feelings about MacKinnon. Shout out to Jenn Botterill for possibly the stupidest take when she suggested we ‘give credit to Makar to have the hockey IQ to bring the puck over the line and then not touch it until Nikushkin tagged up’ as though any of this was planned. Oilers fault for losing the draw and letting him walk in, but the league failed to protect the integrity of the game.

The linesman is on the other side of the rink and the linesman never put his arm up and signaled a delayed offside. Once the other player clears the zone it is no longer a delayed offside. However, it was a delayed offside at 6:06 and there is no way the linesman could see from the other side of the rink that the puck was not on Makers stick.

    In any game other than NHL or AHL. Possibly a few others like the CHL. That's no goal. Any minor hockey, any pickup game, any other hockey you would ever play. Even in a video game that would have been offside. That's all I'm saying. I don't care either way, neither team is my team. I understand the way the rules are stated, I get why it's considered a good goal. But imo, it shouldn't be, rule should be changed/better clarified. That being said, I obviously never got to the point of being a pro, so what do I know? :p
