The lifts are always steady. The time the chairs stop is when the workers at the top get off so you can ride it down. And you ride to the top when your shift starts if you work on top of the mountain. If you ski or snowboard you get lunch break and you can board or ski anywhere you want for the hour break you have. All ski resorts are different, just telling you my experience.

Thanks brother. Yah when I was living in Maui for 4 months back in 2015 I met this amazing guy on Craigslist and he needed help in his essential oil lab. This guy was a a bad ass! He was one of the best in the world with at least a million dollar setup for distillation. So I had the pleasure of helping him and make some extra cash and learn how to make them and that's how I got into it. Unfortunately you need a large setup to make decent amounts of oil. Otherwise with my little setup I can use like 3 pounds of plant material and only get like 10ml tops of finished products, so it's really only for person use. I would really like to get back into it but my living situation kinda sucks now and I don't have the space I need. Do you have a setup? Or are you just getting interested in doing it yourself?

I don't work there anymore and my lab is all packed up because I'm moving, but maybe someday soon ill make a video. Plenty of other videos you can find on making essential oils tho

@@MistakenMystery What was your camera experience prior to the job? Did they provide you with a camera or did you bring your own? Also, all those other people dressed in green did they have the same job? sorry for all the questions i really just want to do what you did hahaha

So I didn't have really any experience working with expensive cameras, and I told them that and that was ok, they provide all the camera stuff, all you need is a snowboard and boots, goggles, they give you that green uniform for the job to use for the season too. Only problem is trying to find housing up there, it's really hard unless you wanna pay a ton of money. You can get employee housing the first year in these decent apartments they provide for like 400 a month, so get on the waiting list like I did once you get the job and hope you get in, otherwise you gotta live with friends or figure something out. I lived with friends for almost 2 months until I finally made it into my own legit apartment.

Yah I suppose you could I always get a job and then dip out after a month or 2, might not wanna tell them your planning on leaving tho

Photography is a hobbie of mine and I didn't see they had the position available until I was hired as a liftie. Did you enjoy the position/ think it's more enjoyable than being a lift operator ?

Also, how many days a week did you work ? My position will be 4 days 3 days off 8- 10 hour shifts. Sorry for bombarding you with questions lol

oh fuck yah dude, lift operators sit there all day and do nothing, but they get ride breaks, epic mix photo people dont really get ride breaks but we get to ride on the way to lunch and when we are going back to our zones. Epic mix photo is sick, but its also pretty subjective experience. You stand on top of a mountain all day in the freezing cold and wind and take 10000 picture and make people do random poses all day. I had a blast, And from what i recall they were pretty cool about people changing positions a few weeks in.

yah it wasn't too bad, free bus rides to work and all over town, cool people, boarding everyday, whats not to like. I didn't get in right away and they put me on the waiting list because apparently getting housing in Breck is hard in the winter time. But eventually about a month after I started work they got me into my own place.
