what's to hate? This movie wasn't made for me. It was made for women and little girls. (for the most part) I had no interest in watching it regardless of what political message it was pushing. It seems it did well in the demographic it was intended to serve. Now, if they can just figure out what the hell they are doing with the rest of the movies that have been regurgitated, everyone might get what they want. I dont "hate" the movie. It's Barbie's world tho ..... Ken is the supportive 'boyfriend' or whatever you want your ken to be. He's always there for barbie and wants to be a part of her important moments especially if it could be dangerous and I think that's very noble. He wants to be seen in her life and seen by her even if she's doing whatever drives her at the moment. It wasn't men are dumb or evil. Lol it was just about Barbie not Barbie and Ken and that's okay. I thought the kens were super adorable. TBH I think it highlights on the fact women have absolutely no idea what goes on in men's worlds how they think nor how they feel, and no we will never really know because they never really tell us. If they did I'm pretty sure us ladies would prefer the simplicity of Barbie land over the real world. But even that is putting too much depth into the lighthearted comedy movie.

For a biopic movie about the life of the Butcher of Lyon this movie wasn't exactly on point with it's history.

I thought the movie was hilarious. Did it start off cringe? Yes. My husband is as much of a man's man as you can probably get and is not fond of woke and progressive stuff and yet, he absolutely loved this movie. It was even on his Wish List for Christmas. Personally, I think a lot of people read too far into it. It was about toys who were marketed to girls with ideals that don't necessarily jive with what real women of today face in reality. It wasn't that Ken was dumb or anything, it was more so that we all had a Ken doll for the purpose of Barbie being able to have a boyfriend/husband. When you're a young girl, one of the last things you understand is what it is to be a man. I just felt like the movie personified what a young girl would think Barbie and Ken are all about, nothing more, nothing less.

Weird Barbie and Skipper are two totally different dolls. Skipper had inflatable boobs and weird barbie was played with too hard. Actor Ryan Gosling was nominated for best supporting actor for his performance as Ken in the global phenomenon "Barbie," but Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig did not get any nominations. Even in a feminist movie men out perform women and as a man I loved this movie.
