Well it all depends on how far you can go. The absolute busiest location is Doswell, VA for CSX but if you would like Alexandria, VA for more Amtrak that would work. Im not sure of exact dates right now because I’ll be taking some trips, but I’ll use this thread to let you know more.

I, personally, have never railfanned with a ticket and in this video I did not use a ticket. I am really not sure if you need a ticket at the Lorton Auto Train station, but nobody stopped me or questioned me. Just always make sure to check if you need one or not.
