I just had my brain scanned for pituitary tumor and I’m too impatient to wait for the report so I’m trying to do it myself lol. I see a weird dark hair like strand extending from the pituitary on the sag T1 FLAIR. Also the gland is half black half white on the flair and is rather large. Any thoughts?

For those curious, Concatenations serve as a quantifiable parameter for assessment. They represent a technique for uniformly distributing slices across multiple TRs, and occasionally necessitate operator intervention for manipulation.

This is an old software version which some requirements aren't needed anymore. For example if the scanner has the Autoalign package for the spine then you don't need the marker placed on the skin anymore since the software will label each vertebrae individually. Also the composing angulation are different. in the XA versions you can angle the sag and the cor 45 degrees and the algorithm will still do the composing, the overlap is 1-2 vertebral bodies worth of lenght but the axial angulation is 1 degree so don't!

idk how but I'm immediately lost.. at 5 min, I don't get why you're aligning the axial localizers only over the liver but then the coronal slices of the whole abdomen thickness?? Also, not being able to see what you're clicking on the screen doesn't help. thanks tho, great videos overall so far

I don't know if you will see this, but I want to thank you from a patient. I don't let anything happen to me without knowing the exact details. All the patient information available is far too general. These two videos explained almost everything I wanted to know, and in fact changed my mind about allowing contrast to be given to me. And I promise, if I ever enter this field and use a Siemens MRI, I will use manual shim for the care bolus. ;)

Then I want you to throw that check in the trash, because I know you do it for the love of the craft. Thank you to all who took part in this endeavor to teach this in such an understandable manner. I am forever in your debt.

Bro you have to be shimmin me! (I just made that up). Thank you. Just started training on a Siemens yesterday and RUclips has saved my life. I have found this broadcast on abdominal imaging and part one extremely helpful. You do a great job of making everything so easy to understand and the knowledge you have is something to be admired. I have a question though. I noticed that none of your scans included any monitoring of the patients breathing pattern for non breath hold scans. When shadowing someone I noticed they were having difficulty with this. Do you have any videos showing this type of scan and/or how to set up those types of scans? I noticed the tech I was shadowing didn't use a respiratory gating device under the coil like on the Philips scanner I've used for Abdominal work. Does Siemens have a work around for this? Teach me. lol
