Brilliant
Dad flew in this Vulcan on multiple occasions and was part of the aircrew when it was the Vulcan display aircraft. I’ve still got his display air suit from that time. Good to see it still going strong.
All I hear is shit music
Is there no way to get a Vulcan flying again? XM655 looks to have a little airframe life left, and I know the runway at that airport is much too short to fly a Vulcan out of, but they got that aircraft in there somehow so there must be a way to get it back out.
Superb video, great shots, and 426 is looking good moving under her own power. Wonderful parachute streaming shots.
Excellent Drone video, an absolutely gorgeous aircraft. Thanks to everyone involved in the never ending tasks to keep the Vulcan in excellent condition.
Great video with some great views of the old bird
I love The Vulcan someone needs to make a film called Vulcan it's a cool aircraft
What a waste. Almost like a personal Concorde for you and your buddies. A private citizen should buy one and use it. Travolta or Tate or somebody.
It was a Vulcan that nuked the USA twice. ruclips.net/video/-Wx6npt421c/видео.html
Would be amazing if they just lifted off instead of cutting the power hahah. Amazing job lads! Keeping her in great condition
Wow what an interesting video. Would have loved to be there live. Also what beautiful airfield.
It was amazing to go and watch
Greetings from North Carolina, USA. Thank you for all that you are doing to keep this amazing bird running. I can only imagine the hours/money required to keep her howling! Great job! Cheers, Josh
Fly it, dicking around on ground.
I think it was in the 60s when the USA invited the RAF Vulcans to an exercise to test the effectiveness of the USA air defenses. On TWO separate occasions, the Vulcans successfully penetrated their defences and carried out simulated dropping of nukes on the USA. This embarrassed the Americans, and this was kept secret and hidden from the people for decades. True story that can be researched.
What are the 'engineer switches' for ?
I know it cost a lot of money too keep these beautiful airplanes up there in the sky but why can’t we have these planes flying again
I second this inquiry! Is it a parts availability issue or is there just no desire there in the UK to keep one flying? Would be cool to have one last flying copy making the airshow circuits. I have the same wish for our native F-14 tomcat here in the states. Should have NEVER sold them to Iran otherwise we would still have a few flying.
It’s multiple issues including parts, qualified mechanics and pilots, money! but there might well be an airframe lifespan issue where vast numbers of components, namely wing spars, would have to be replaced.
I once watched one of these beasts taking off at an airshow. The word 'loud' doesn't do the experience justice. It basically rips the air apart.
I heard they spent £10,000 on fuel, what a waste of money. its about time they sent it for scrap.
You’re wasting oxygen and electricity posts your comments, so maybe we should scrap you. 🙄
I saw the prototype fly way back at the SBAC show and saw XH558 flying 5 times in her last year. Great to watch this video from begining to end. What can you say beyond WOW. Thank you so much.
Oh how I’d love to see it fly again, great to see it being kept alive and just down the road too, great work and true passion.
Enjoyed as instructed 😁 From seeing these fly as a kid to supporting XH558 with a fly in using our R44 for Pete Rigby's Coventry re-opening Help for Heroes event for I've 'followed their journey'.
Subscribed. I fly this in VR.
Looks better than when I worked on her in service. Feels like yesterday.
I remember as a kid driving past Scampton , up the Lincoln Ramper , and watching seven or eight of these aircraft take off on after the other .. must have been something like 60 years ago maybe.
Wow! A Red Arrows displays of Vulcans? 😁
Is this the same run where the local resident wants the government to stop the tests due to causing disruption and distress to locals
Awesome! Growing up on RAF stations I took it for granted watching these jets flying around. Much respect to the team that makes this happen I know it take s a lot of effort to keep the big bird in shape. 🙂
She’s in fantastic condition, well done to everyone who keeps her alive
What a fabulous aircraft she is, thank you.
She sounds good. Hopefully a test flight is next. I believe HRH Charles flew one of these 50 years ago.
50 years ago King Charles was flying a Wessex V helicopter on 845 Naval Air Squadron. I was on the Squadron at the time
Aircraft looks and sounds in fine shape. Well done the Engineering Team.
Not the same as a flying one 😔
Not flying anymore, left out in the open at disused Robin Hood airport rotting sadly, not even engine run ups :-( such a waste
Never give up lads, awesome aircraft, always will be, truly British. 👍🔥🔥👍✈️✈️🔥
Is it destined to fly again?
No
This is my era's Millennium Falcon. Love , health and respect from Scotland UK.
She's looking really smart! The amount of hard work and dedication poured into her really shows.
Lovely to see the team light her up again well done
Stunning Andy!
Amazing aircraft. The commitment of everyone that is working to keep this bird running is inspirational.
Great work! I’m so jealous that I don’t have the privilege of working on a vulcan. I’d be getting to work early every day!
Excellent work being done, keep it up!
Great job lads. I used to be at 1 Group Bawtry back in the day. When the Bomber Controller said "all one group aircraft scramble on the box from Wycombe, I kid you not it was an attention getter!.
Soo exited for the taxi run ❤❤
Thank you.
Yes
Looking forward to seeing this ❤
Superb! Really looking forward to 2024’s event 🍺
Fantastic, keep up the good work.
Greatest respect, love what you are doing. Been a member for some months now but haven't got down to see you, which is sad because I'm only in Hockley!!! 🙈
