Thanks for posting this. I can only imagine how electric it must have been on that day. Crazy to think the idea of a SunBelt team upsetting a ranked Power 5 team seemed so unrealistic back then. Now it's a semi-common occurrence. We even have SunBelt teams being ranked in the AP Top 25.

This was the most electrifying game I’ve ever been in attendance of, and I’ve been to some big ones. The atmosphere on this day was one that you’ll probably never have again at Troy.

I went to this game. I remember rushing the field and helping others tear down the goalposts. It’s still one of the greatest sports moments I was apart of.

What a nonconference schedule for Troy that year. Arkansas with McFadden Florida with Tebow Georgia with Moreno Oklahoma State with Bryant Obviously cruised in this one and was competitive in the other three.
