Dear Jack, When I read your story I too felt sorry for those young people who were killed in the war. I do remember a famous cartoon published at the time of World war II. A soldier raised his sword to kill a pig for eating to the army personnel. The pig told him, I know you are killing me to eat me. But why do you kill your brother.? It was widely circulated and the Caroonist was arrested for demoralising the soldiers. Yes, that question is still pertinent even today, as thousands of innocent people are killed for no fault of theirs. N. Hemaraj, Calicut city, India.

The story is very nice, but It' s like an "oldfashion fairy-tale". I worked with children (6-10 years old). Many of them didn't want to work so hard, because their parents get support/money from the state without going to work every day... This is so sad!
