It feels like you already need to be a successful company to get pre seed or seed funding.

You are telling the truth and on a global scale. We just have been selected into one of the London based accelerator programs. Been through the pre-qualification stage, done the interview, it was one of our most positive interviews so far. All looked great until we received the letter from the accelerator saying that their investor pulled funds from the program and therefore it isn't going to happen this year. It is weird because they've been doing these programs for 3 years in a row, 2/year, and they've been advertising this years winter program for almost 12 months by now. And still, despite the tonne of work they must have put in, all the paid advertising and everything. And they've cancelled last minute. Just 30 days before it should start. Sad, but true story.
