Ecx Torment at King Hobbies and Raceway in Valparaiso Indiana
New to your channel ( 2024) I’ve been looking at getting back into the sport. After many years of competing with electric. I keep coming back to this kyosho model after watching many videos. I’ve found your video here has been the most informative👏👏 Having raced at quite a level before and spending a fortune on upgrading my cars before. Do you think with the upgrades you mention that it’s quite a competitive buggy? After just the few upgrades you’ve mentioned here. Geoff
would have loved to see you intall the parts i wanna upgrade mine
I've locked the center and rear diff with silicone ear plugs helps the rear turn in I've also put 8000 in the front also get rid of that kyosho air filter it's choking that engine
How is this project coming along?
Thanks, the part numbers helped.
Any update on how this worked out for you? I just picked up a slightly used Neo 3.0 and plan on doing a little bit of racing with it. I planned on tires for sure and leaning pretty heavy towards the diff mod. up in the air on the sway bars though.
I am also an owner of the ECX Torment and I own a 5000mah 7 cell battery (8.4v) The only disadvantage is the heat in the wires and ESC. Should you run the battery dry The wires will melt together and cause it to short the battery and possibly melt ESC. After melting the system i finally made the greatest investment in this car by getting a new ESC from Dynamite The name being Lipo 10t tazer. the entire system stays cool and has unbelievable speed. Also you may upgrade your motor UP TO a 10t!
I want to upgrade my batteries from stock 1800 6v 7.2 to a 4200 8.4. Is this OK and will it hurt the motor? I know it might run a little hot, but can I damage the motor? Can I go even bigger like 6000?
1/10 i have one
Is that an 1/8 track?
