It bothers me that the name on the cover and the name on the spine don’t match. Is it just me? As for the books, I’ve read and listened to the first three and enjoyed them. First time for number four.

I usually can't handle Apocalyptic style novel series especially Zombie genre ones. I rate this seies among the best along the America Falls saga. I was grabbed by this one especially as a 70 native San Diegan who moved to east Tennessee next to the Pigeon River 20 mi. from NC and about 50 mi. as the crow flies from Asheville. We were lucky during the flooding due to Helene when the French Broad River which flows into the Pigeon River wiped out areas around both rivers. Blessings to all affected by this disaster. Love and respect to all including those who have aided the victims!! ONE LOVE!!!!!

Ok. I was a lifeguard when I was in highschool. Yes I live in Minnesota. So I don't have much knowledge on salt water, but I do remember some things from lifeguard training. In Minnesota when I was a lifeguard. Any public pool temp below 72°F wasn't legal. Because any lower than that. You were not just risking hypothermia, but also thermal shock. I have swam in water as low as 68°F. That is cold people. If you are not trained/training in that water on a regular basis. It will absolutely take your breath away. If the water temp gets much below that temp. You will be talking about thermal shock. Which the average human cannot adjust to. You will have a hard time just catching breath. Let alone breathing. Water will suck the heat out of your body 3 times as fast as air. If you want me to believe someone is swimming in near 50°F water, and not dying in very short time. Then you have got to do better that this.

Sorry mate. Book 2 - “raw dogging” doesn’t mean what you think it means in contemporary vernacular. Please never use it again like this. And the author gives russian and chinese equipment WAY too much credit. as we see from the war in ukraine russian tech - particularly their vaunted anti aircraft systems - do not work nearly as well as advertised. and the russians and chinese still lag behind the US. their subs would never be able to creep up and unload as written here.
