I visited Salamis, Famagusta and Varosha about a week ago. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to explore the place more extensively. Thanks for sharing such an extensive walk in Varosha! I have to say that the 70s architectural style is fascinating.

You are missing the point, old Famagusta was Turkey town; but the Famagusta that we knew is now a ghost town, the block of flats where we lived on the seafront and all those along there are just as they were after the invasion, derelict. After the invasion you could still see the washing on the line. The bars and discos were we used to go are no longer there, so no, I wouldn’t want to see Turkey town, even if it is nice now, the Famagusta we knew no longer exists
