It's a travesty that John Sykes was fired before the album was released. I saw them two days before in Portland, and as good as they were Great White (the opening band) was better.

Adrian Vandenberg is 70 years old... and he's still rocking! I remember when Vandenberg's Burning Heart video first came on MTV when I was a teenager... he was cool then, and he's just as cool now!

Keyboardist songwriter, no dumb ass, he has been in the business for years. But respected family over fame. He got of the road to take care of family. He will make you cry if he sings Robert Plant, It is his natural tone..

For those that don't know, I believe the singer is the great Mats Leven who has been on tons of albums from Yngwie Malmsteen to THERION... his discography and voice is matched by none.

I saw this Tour when they were actually Headlining in March 1988 at the Hollywood Sportatorium Florida with Great White, They Ruled Back in those days! Saw them in 89 aswell at the Miami Arena Slip Of The Tounge Tour with Steve Vai

Rad! I was at that show. Performance was excellent as this demonstrates, the whole show was like that. They sounded just like the album and better. A year or so later I caught 'Blue Murder' (who may have been opening for Winger or even Poison, not sure) at the Paramount and saw one of the greatest guitarists I have ever seen before or since: John Sykes. Years later came to find out all the Whitesnake album tracks were laid down by Sykes but Cover-Version (R. Plant's nickname) fired him and brought in these all-star hired guns. Still amazing and fantastic and I am glad Coverdale did what he had to to to put on that amazing tour. The T-Dome back in those days was the scene of so many of the greatest concerts, so cool to see that this was captured for posterity.

July 18th 1987 Whitesnake/Crue Wild Side was filmed. I was there.
