I came across an issue that I needed help with, and after searching extensively, I noticed that many others are struggling with the same thing. Surprisingly, there are no videos or tutorials addressing it. The issue is this: have a video or image that I want to overlay onto a clip of a guy holding his phone. So I downloaded CapCut, So when I use Premiere pro, I could import my 4k footage onto a 1080 x 1920 'canvas', meaning that the 4k video would spill out the edges of the canvas as its much larger than the 1080 x 1920 window. This meant I could effectively zoom plenty into the 4k footage without losing video quality. For some reason I can't figure out how to do this on Capcut, no matter what I try, it seems to scale down any 4k video to the 1080 x 1920 window, rather than keeping it to its true size. Do you know how to get around this? I want to edit my 4K footage in a 1080 space but be able to fit to frame and zoom in without losing quality.
