Remember in the old days when you'd stare at the DVD thingy and when it hits the corner you finna nut?
*Do you believe in gravity?*
What kind of man talks to the DEA?
This gus guy... something about him...
Gus is one of those characters you beg for more to see on these shows, a great actor and all that
"If you keep digging you'll find me," is such a COLD line. The true confidence of being untouchable and Esposito NAILED it.
Definitivamente não foi a melhor estratégia, ele deveria ter fingido surpresa e um luto repentino pela morte de Gale como se estivesse acabado de receber a informação de sua morte.
Walt's a literal genius and the main character, but this is probably the sharpest any character ever was in this show.
One of the baddest MF's to ever grave the television screen
Gus shoulda called Saul.
Should have asked him what they had for dinner
“If you keep digging, you’ll find me”
Between the scene where Hank reveals the results of his investigation leading to Gus and this scene, it's such a perfect chess match of paired intellects it's just a joy to watch back to back.
Non of this would’ve happen if walt didnt drink wine
Yo, what's the actual name/title for his theme?
@@Tom___Foolery The first part is "Pale Snake", the second is "Priest"
is he from chile or not?
Even as a Christian this is the most hard I've ever heard an organ go. Best JoJo villian theme and it's not even close (the pillar men is legendary but not as menacing)
1:30 Very quick save by Gus, as soon as he said that he remembered that Gale was a vegan so quickly corrected his story before Hank mentioned that
In the real world NEVER talk to any federal regime agency or LE in general without an attorney present before, during and after and interview i.e, Richard Jewell. RIP. .
This is a brilliant power play attempt by Hank! He tries to negotiate a greater % of the operation he has with Gus, but well Gus was Gus and he defended it perfectly. After that Hank knew that he'll have to kill Gus with 100% certainty. This is the exact moment Hank became Heisenberg.
Something that gets overlooked here is that Gus didn’t just lose his prized chemist: he liked and respected Gale. You can see his rage start to boil over when, after dragging Gale’s name through the mud, along comes Walter’s brother-in-law looking thoroughly unconvinced. The low tone when Gus says “Don’t get up.” Yeah. He’s seething.
“Drug related homicide” Gus thinks, and comes up with Gale. Later, asking “drug related, you say?” seems a bit 🤔
He aced it but yes that was a slip up
Yep!
Amazed at how neither Hank nor any of the other feds at the table ask Gus about what ‘vague investment opportunity’ or ‘business offer’ Gale was talking about with him.
Hanks the man . He ain’t falling for any of that shit
One thing I’ve learned in my life is the truth is the easiest thing to remember and lying is the hardest thing to fake
In the year of Our Lord 2022 a 360p file was uploaded to RUclips for some reason.
Most likely to avoid copyright. You can tell they zoomed in a bit and made the aspect ratio smaller which ruined the quality. I've seen it a lot even in recent years when ppl try to upload long scenes.
"No please, don't get up"
for sure mike was preparing gus for this interrogation
SUSSY GUSSY IN DESCRIPTION 😂
1949 Hank: Is John Smith your real name? You immigrated from Germany to America, but we don't have any record of you. Mr. Smith: Hitler... basically.
The chicken tastes because he fries with salt and cocaine.
We will never stop spreading drugs in the Garden of Eden.
The cops bothering a nice man who simply wants to make a nice chicken meal. A succulent chicken meal!! Gentlemen, THIS is Democracy Manifest!
Gus certainly has become a much more composed individual since the time he once yelled at a guy, one particularly hot summer, for accidentally scuffing his fresh pair of jordans on a sidewalk in Brooklyn.
Great scene altogether, but I think it contains a rather big "character error": It was only after Hank sent that paper cup to the lab that Gus got tied to the crime scene, which clearly means that his prints were not on record. A perfectly innocent / unknowing man with a clean record would immediately have questioned how the police could possibly have identified the prints as belonging to him. Gus' failure to respond in such a manner may be perfectly plausible, but it is extremely unlikely that none of the four experienced law enforcement agents would've picked up on it.
I love how so many of the comments here start wiith "I love how."
dea must be sued really
"is Gustavo Fring your real name?" "Sure is. Don't believe me? Ask anyone at the CIA."
Hank couldn’t leave well enough alone and got himself and his partner killed? Dummy 😂
4:14 Top 10 hardest quotes of all time 😤🔥💀
The balls on Hank, to drag this good man into his cockamamie conspiracy, I just... what abuse of power; what a pathetic display of desperation. He should be ashamed of himself. And the way he almost lost his head towards the end, what an embarrassment.
You can tell that Gus was genuinely helpless at first with Hank's question about his real name but then one can see he felt relieved when Hank specified that he was only referring to his records in Chile and not that of Mexico or the US. By doing so Hank paved the way for Gus to deliver that perfect explanation with Pinochet. Gus was scared of something completely different and Hank cleared out Gus' fear as soon as he showed that the Chile part was his one and only concern
Smooth operator
I’m sure if you keep digging you’ll find me
Top 10 hardest quotes of all time 💀
I think it would be cool if we got a miniseries into gus' past in chile
What a great scene!❤
That black dude who is questioning gus looks like Scott Shelby from heavy rain if he were black
Giancarlo Esposito is a master thespian
“If you keep digging you’ll find me”….and the smile. One of the best villains ever
I love the line “if you keep digging I’m sure you will find me” because it exists as both encouragement and a threat that obviously the DEA wouldn’t pick up on. Even though Hank outlived Gustavo, digging too deep into the blue meth ultimately cost Hank his life, joining Gustavo among the dead
Veiled threat I wouldn’t interpret it any other way
Hank says Gale signed for a huge piece of equipment delivered to Fring's laundry in the episode before this, but then doesn't ask him about it when he says he hasn't seen Gale for weeks?
