The Celtic Revival Down Under!
From West Waterford, living in Western Australia!
I record with an audio technica condenser microphone into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, multi-track and mix in Pro Tools 12 and then sync audio (exported from Pro Tools, I mute all the camera audio), and crop and layer the videos filmed on my Sony DSC-RX100 via Adobe Premiere Pro 2015.
My Banjo is a tenor banjo tuned GDAE, it is made by Tanglewood.
My Guitar is a seagull brand, they are nice guitars.
My Fidil is an Enrico 4/4 student violin, tuned GDAE
Tin whistles are from Waltons Music, C whistle and D
Mandolin is a Fender
Bass is an unknown brand

On the 18th of September 1867, 20 - 30 men facilitated the rescue of two Fenian prisoners by ambushing the carriage transporting them to Belle Vue Gaol in Manchester.
28 men were arrested, 26 sent for trial, and five tried on 29 October. None had fired the fatal shot; all were charged with murder under the common purpose and felony murder doctrines. One of the five, Edward O'Meagher Condon, concluded his speech from the dock with the words "God Save Ireland"

This is my cover, live in the Wellington Hotel 12th of May of the Wild Rover, a song famously sang by the Dubliners and many others, it is an old classic Irish song. It tells the story of the parable of the prodigal son from the Old testament of the bible, it is a great story and a great crowd favourite, it is very famous all over the world even sang regularly by some sports clubs.

Joseph Marie Plunkett married Grace Gifford in Kilmainham Jail in Dublin, just hours before his execution in the Chapel inside the jail, they had, but a few moments together before he was to be killed. She never remarried all her life. A tragic irish love story.

Oisin, this is magical I have just brought my first tenor and am aiming to self teach would you have a tab for this please
Excellent job on these Irish ballads! I spent a month on the island of Ireland last year, and I went everywhere from Donegal to Wexford. Then Kerry all the way up to Belfast and everywhere in between 🇮🇪 I also just completed this year, a month in Australia. I took the trains from Darwin to Adelaide and back. Then I did Sydney to Perth and back. I also stopped in Brisbane and Melbourne. As well as Alice Springs in the middle of the outback. Australia 🇦🇺 sure is beautiful.

How did you learn how to play the banjo and the violin? Were you self taught or did you learn from someone?
Self taught basically. My cousin taught me egans polka on the banjo. I previously played the guitar
