The American Metal band Helsik was formed in Central California by Vocalist Allen Woodward and guitarist Kevin James. With Jesus Mendez Jr. on drums and Dominic Cassinerio on bass.
Helsik embraces a hard driving sound complete with crunchy distortion and brooding textures. Opening for bands such as Otherwise, Otep and Vyces, they will be embarking on a full scale of shows for the 2020 year and beyond.

Why didn't you bring your wet instruments into your coffin? So when you rise out of the coffins, you'll be starting off with your instruments Instead of having Someone bring them to you. You would have that zombie rising Out of that grave Feel to it. well. but it would just be much more cooler. And this is a really cool cover It sounds like a mixture of acid witch and dissection

I've loved this song for soooo long, but I feel like I was looking for this version forever ❤
I like this but for some strange reason it sounds more sinister and ark when sung in a folksie way, like Rusty Cage did.
Yeah we weren't really trying to go for a Sinister/dark vibe.. we intentionally went for more of a theatrical/sing-a-long style.
@@helsik5713 They can be one and the same. After all nursery rhymes and fairy tails are actually very dark compared to the Dysneyfication of them. "Ring, a, ring" is about the black death after all. What amazes me is how many adults forget just how dark and sinister they were as children. I'll say one word to make them think, "bullying". Back on topic still a great version.

Thank you! Not sure why but we also, unfortunately, shut the band down last year... doesn't mean it's done for good but it won't be back anytime soon.

Nobody does, earliest known record of it in history is from the late 1800s but nobody knows who actually wrote the original nursery rhyme.
@@helsik5713 Looking at the history, it was probably courtesy of a British soldier (slightly different lyrics?)
@@LG-cz6ls its quite possible... it's been altered so many times by all the different artists and or poets who have put out their own versions.. that's why there really is no documentation on who originally wrote it but there is a lot of documentation on it being sung during World War 1.
@@helsik5713 Yes. It was sung in the trenches. But probably originated before that. Crimea and Boer wars have both been suggested And TBH who cares? I know my brother would have loved it, especially your version.
