Nonviolent Communication Vs Resentments
The other day I used the four steps of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) by Marshall Rosenberg to help a friend take a closer look at an old resentment that she still felt.
It was my first time using NVC as a means of doing this kind of inventory, but it worked out well, unearthing feelings and unmet needs, and pointing the way towards how to make sure our needs our met and how to avoid the unrealistic expectations in relationships that inevitably lead to resentment.
