As my tribute to the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, I have chosen to perform The Shores of Normandy by the late Jim Radford. Jim was believed to be one of the youngest on D-Day when he was the Galley-Boy on the Empire Larch, a deep sea tug, that was involved in the building of the harbour in Normandy. One comment deplores the use of a space dedicated to the worship of God as a venue for entertainment. I have a different take: isn’t it a tribute to the creative love of the Almighty that His creatures can create such beauty in their shared effort toward art? The harmonies of this group reinforce a sense of what God hath wrought in His beloved creatures.

I often marvel in God’s gift of music to humans, and the ability to create and perform so beautifully is a gift to us all.
There is singing in heaven and i am convinced the Welsh sing in harmony with it.
