Hey there! 1. I'm not 100% sure as i haven't bought the "official" version from the Omni Arcade team, but i think you may still need to solder it on. 2. I don't really know much about SOCD. For these two points you may wanna consider just going on the OMNI Arcade discord server and asking them! They are super helpful! As for the 3rd: I'm German and have got them on Amazon. Just search for terms like "Dupont wires", "Jumper wires" or "breadboard wires". The EXACT type doesn't matter at all, just any wires with connectors will do

Game of the year isn't always given to the best game, but usually the one with the most marketing behind it. Apart from that, skyrim didn't really get "Updates", it got like 5 re-releases so that everyone will buy the same old game multiple times, even though you NEED mods to make the game playable without major glitches

@@Magnos dead wrong. I don't know if you have experienced the hype when skyrim was first released back then but every kids on my school always talking about skyrim. For those who have the console to play it automatically become a popular kids. It's not that long but we still often got teased on some convo. The game is definitely deserved to be Best Game Of The Year. But it's in the past, the game without mods is not quite relevant anymore. We as a community understand this but we can't let the fact that this game have it's prime time go away.

I recently watched Episode 2 and it was EVEN MORE boring with scenes that dragged out endlessly and the most un-natural sounding dialogue i've ever heard. The entire show just gives off vibes of a badly acted theater-play.

Honestly, i should probably ammend my video, i have since sent back my V3SE and instead bought a Qidi Q1 Pro. I had quite a few issues with the V3SE that only started appearing after a few months. Most egregious of those was the fact that the bed kept warping more and more to the point where not even the ABL could compensate for it. My first layers got worse and worse, and the bed also started becoming quite scuffed. Now, i know that not everyone has these issues with the printer, but honestly i'm very glad that i spent the 250 bucks more to get the Qidi Q1 Pro. It has been running for two months without any issues, it's way faster, it has built-in wifi and open source klipper firmware with a web interface, and both the leveling as well as the bed plate are just so much better. ALso it's CoreXY which is always better than a Bedslinger. But of course not everyone has that money, and i don't wanna make you feel bad for having gotten the printer, i just wanna be honest about my experience with it!

I know that "Vault Dweller" was the Term for the Protagonist of Fallout 1, but "Dweller" just means "a person that lives in a specified place" so calling her a Vault Dweller is still completely correct. Just like you can call someone living in a city a "City Dweller"

Well, i didn't actually critique anything based of the show being tailored to me as a fallout fan. All critique i gave was based completely on the show itself, not any comparison to the games.

That is fine. I"m honestly not just trying to be negative about the show, and i believe the people saying that the show gets better around episode 3, but i'm trying to display my viewpoint and critizism about the first episode and the things in it that made it personally unenjoyable for me

Lol this is the most positive negative-comment I have gotten so far. It's fair that you don't agree with my points or don't consider them thought provoking. I just used this video to articulate the issues I had with the episode, I wouldn't say that most of my points are subjective, just how much you care about it is. Like, having the kid ask "do you think it's gonna happen" 30 seconds before it happens is objectively pretty lazy writing. But subjectively many people won't care about it. Though you are of course free to disagree, that's what discussion is for Also thank your for finishing the video. So you don't think foreshadowing every 45 Seconds is too much? What if they did it every 10 seconds? What if every single sentence was just about foreshadowing? You might not care, but you can't deny it's a valid critique

@@Magnos The most important event in the Fallout plot is the day the bombs drop. I think it makes sense to spend the first 5 minutes of an 8 episode season addressing the tension of a world on the brink of destruction. Especially when one of the main characters was alive before the bombs. You watched one episode, milked 7 minutes of the show for over a quarter of your review, and then called it “valid critique” to try to generate clicks for your fledgling channel. Good luck brother, hope the channel grows when the takes get better ✌🏻

Same as with the foreshadowing, i don't mind the joke in general, but why is it SO MUCH? Like i said in the video, incest jokes are basically the only kind of joke there is, which is kinda un-creative.

I actually think the first and maybe even second piece of foreshadowing are fine. There is nothing wrong with foreshadowing. I just think that having foreshadowing every 45 Seconds is WAY too much

That's fine, you don't need to agree with my opinions! And not at all. For example, i went in to Cyberpunk Edgerunners thinking i was gonna hate it, especially since i already hated the main-game, but i went out loving it and it was probably my favorite show of 2022. I don't just "hate" on the show for the sake of it, i have genuine issues with it and i used this video to explain and express them.

Yeah the acting was just very cheesy for most of the episode. It didn't ever really feel genuine, but that's sadly something not many people pay attention to

So you don't think that the kid asking "Do you think it's gonna happen" 30 seconds before it happens is way too cheesy? And what about the missing character-introduction? What do you actually learn about the characters personality in the scene?

You learn that he’s a former marine, that he is doing kids’ parties for some reason, that he has rope skills, is a nice caring guy, and that completely contrasts to the ghoul we see at the end, leaving the question of how did we get from a to b. Also, world building. Atom punk isn’t an esthetic you just understand without it getting pounded into your head.

@@Magnos you complain about too much foreshadowing in the first scene, then about not enough in the Maximus flashback. I’d think that not explaining everything up front would be up your alley.

It may be RELEVANT to his character, but it doesnt EXPLAIN anything about his character, and explaining your characters and their motivations should basically be priority #1 in the first episode of a show.

@@Magnos From the first episode we see that Maximus idolizes the Brotherhood and that’s why he states ashamedly that he wanted Dane to get injured so that he had an opportunity to move up in rank (become a Squire). And we also get that he enjoys being in power by his power trips that he takes when he sacrifices the Knight he serves and uses his power armour. Even from this, and also how he interacts with Lucy for the first time, we can see that he is a confident, heroic character, like a knight in shining armour.. BUT we can see that he’s willing to make sacrifices to get more and more power. Everything together makes you think that while he seems like a good character, his honest remark about willing to hurt arguably his closest and only friend in the Brotherhood of Steel makes you think what he’ll do later in the show. What if he does the same to Lucy? What if he becomes more hungry for more power? What if he looses his moral compass and becomes relentlessly murderous? I kinda get where you’re coming from.. But all these small hints do say a lot about his character and what his character can become. It also just shows people in the commonwealth aren’t good or bad, most of them are both.

That's fine! I'm glad you enjoyed it actually! I actually thought the eastereggs and references were well done. They were never on-the-nose and always just there. Like, they didn't make a big deal out of showing the Pip-Boys, or the Stimpack or stuff like that. The only think i felt was kinda cheesy was showing the Prydwen and power armors, it felt kinda circle-jerky, but apart from that THAT didn't bother me at all.

Interesting. I mean Americans and Europeans do have very different preferences when it comes to their media. Europeans are a lot more calm and don't need as much attention-grabbing as americans do to enjoy their media

Interestingly that's what i heard from a lot of people so far! Maybe the production was just kinda disorganized and they had different writers for each episode? That would explain why the beginning is so badly written but it supposedly picks up later on

@@Magnos you know, from IMDB first two episodes are directed by nolan brother, only those are directed by him, also first 3 episodes had the same writters that are the creators of the show Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson

Yeah don't get me wrong i'm not knocking the entire show! So far i heard from a lot of people that the show starts getting a lot more interesting later on, and im inclined to belive that! I just wanted to point out the many flaws i saw in the first episode, which is arguably the most important one for a show since some people, like me, may stop watching due to the first episode being not that good. But again, not saying the entire show is bad, i just wanted to air out my thoughts about it and thought a video would be a good way to do that. Thank you for watching and commenting!
