I’ve been using my old drybar 1” and I like that it’s lightweight and very well made & ergonomically friendly. I find that after I’m done using it for 30 minutes my hands or palms are not hurting from pressing and straightening my hair. I’ve been thinking of getting another drybar straightener, but I will watch more review and will decide which one to get afterwards.
I usually watch lots of reviews and go based off of who’s hair is closer to my texture..the products you use also have a lot to do with it.
I think all Dry Bar products make your hair shiny ❤

I have not tried that straightener as of yet, but I’ve seen it in Ulta if I’m not mistaken. I’m giving my curls a little rest, but I can give that a review; is their a specific one?
@@katinscrubs oh yes give those beautiful curls all the time they need! I think she sells it in a ceramic and tourmaline plate options, although i have no idea which would be better

Great review! I saw this tool online and thought it gimmicky but boy did it do a fantastic job on your hair!!!! I will definitely read more on this tool. I was wondering about the Melanin products. I typically use my heat protectant and never thought about using oil on my hair prior to flat ironing. I guess I always thought it would burn. Aside from Melanin oil, are there other oils you have used on your hair prior to flat ironing? While I am not a nurse or even in the medical profession, I am curious as I hear a lot about nursing and even travel nursing more than ever now. Take care and happy holidays!!!!

Just discovered your channel and it looks like this was your last video😩I hope you are well. I have this flat iron too as well as the Corrale. I agree that your hair has more volume and flowy but it doesn’t seem to be as smooth and shiny as it was with the Corrale and it seems a lot more frizzy in the back. It looks gorgeous but I like the results from Dyson better. When I use this flatiron, I feel as though it snags my hair.I think my hair does better with ceramic technology than titanium (dry bar) and the Dyson is a maganese copper alloy, but not sure how it differs from either ceramic or titanium. I think I might give this a whirl today since I haven’t used since I’ve had my Dyson(6/2020). It was a pandemic birthday gift to myself🤣🤣 Another brand I like is GHD, their hot tools are really good.
Thanks for the comment, when I look back at the videos I love the dyson because it is better if you’re using it more on your hair to decrease wear and tear. I do favor it over dry bar but dyson is more expensive. I have not tried GHD products, do you recommend any?
@@katinscrubs Agree! The Dyson products are super expensive, and we are paying for the technology. The GHD platinum styler (1inch) is like $250! GHD hot tools(or the ones I have) are preset at 365 degrees, as that is supposed to be the ideal heat temp to avoid damaging hair. I also have the GHD Rise round heat brush and it’s $200. I don’t know how it would work in your hair because your hair is very long and thick. I think it is perfect for my shoulder length and fine hair to smooth and add volumne. It seems as though heat tools are just becoming more expensive. I’m like if I’m going to spend $250 on a flat iron, what’s another $200🤣 I hope you decide to make more videos in the future 😘

@@katinscrubs I have too but have never tried them. It seems that a lot of hairstylists use babybliss.
Gorgeous!! I love my Dyson Corrale. It is a fabulous product. While expensive, it is worth it to protect hair as much as possible from heat damage.
How long does it take you to straighten your hair ?
With a blow dryer and flat ironing? About 2.5 hours

See you used this iron properly. Thin sections, proper temp for your texture, and nice SLOW passes. That's how you get results. Great job showing this iron. I feel like the reviewers who use it right don't get enough views. I have this iron and it makes my natural 4b hair feel like straight up SILK. I don't even need to use the comb chase method with this iron.

If u take the proper steps leading to your silk press YOU WILL NOT GET HEAT DAMAGE! There are recommended temperatures for different hair types, as well as thickness of the hair. ( sometimes even in the box your iron comes out of or u can look online ) Heat damage comes from improper use of a heat tool!
Yes, thanks for the comment, I have been straightening my hair for years but I decide not to straighten it so often because it does loosen your curls and damage your hair the more you straighten it despite using the proper steps.
I will be buying this. Healthy hair has no price tag for me!
Girl same! I found mine at TJ Maxx! I was shocked to see it there! Brand new and AUTHENTIC. I snatched that baby right up. Got it for $380. Best find I ever had at a TJ Maxx.
Hurrah - well done - someone that actually points out about the reduction of damage! Which is it's whole premise of the dyson. Usually it gets compared with the GHD which does damage your hair. thanks
