A wonderful hymn for use on the Sunday, Monday, and/or Tuesday before Ash Wednesday: Shrovetide, or the days of Carnevale (Carnival), aka theMardi Gras season.

The Resurrection is the Glory of Jesus Christ, and is both the proof of His Omnipotence and the Joy of the Father’s love for us. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!

This will be one of four hymns I have planned for at my funeral.

I remember this from the old hymnal. I like the way the words are updated. I do prefer the original when it come to the verso about killing.

Nicely done folks! I stumbled upon this after listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir " This is My Beloved Son." To my surprise 2 completely different songs, but the Words" this is my beloved son" is one of the most glorious string of words ever spoken. God is Good. Thank you! Well done!
