It brought back good memories of Singapore a nation with differnt languages, culture, religions, races and still can communicate in "pasar Melayu". There was great respect and tolerance of each other in the kampongs (villages). When we got separated with Malaya, we build up Singapore with our hearts, hands, blood, sweat and tears to make Singapore our home ............ and we stood and weathered the storms and turbulence.

This spot is a proper hidden gem, far from the tourist radar. It’s packed with awesome stalls serving up a solid variety of food-easily my go-to hawker centre in Singapore. Back in the day, before the pandemic, there was this incredible Japanese stall on level 1 run by two brothers. Oishii , but unfortunately-they’re not around anymore. Wonder if they’ve shifted somewhere else?

I saw the A&W drive in and dine in restaurant at Dunearn Road. I worked there to earn some pocket money during my secondary school holidays. Everytime I past by that area I notice an empty concrete ground across the road next to the Shell petrol station. I wonder if that empty ground was the former A&W site. Anybody can tell me the exact location ?
