btw, the reason we don't look at the car when we leave is not because we don't care about it. it's because the phone key works so well we just don't need to. the car automatically locks / unlocks based on your proximity to it. love it. would never go back to gas ever again

Car is not an appliance, what a perfect way to explain how the manufactures of electric cars are treating their products. The fact you need to learn to use some basic features or even need a damn app for it, literally turns that car into an appliance.

I own a 04 LS430 Ultra luxury package and i can say the laser cruise control works amazingly. Ive been going 90 on the highway with it on and ill come up on someone, and the car will slow down with about 5 car lengths of space to the same speed of the car infront of me. Also, for the bluetooth issue with the car i purchased and installed a VAIS bluetooth device that I pulled the front panels above the shifter location and plugged it into an open spot on the harness and paired it. Then i tucked the device into the dash area where it cannot be seen. This makes it so you can keep the factory head unit and have full bluetooth. All the buttons on the car works for skipping songs too which is really nice

Just picked up a 2000 SC400 3 weeks ago...enjoying the process of restoring it and adding some subtle modernizations to it along the way. (LED lights, new Android/CarPlay head unit, and new speakers/amp). Just 324 of them built in 2000??? 🤔🤔🤔😳

I'm in the UK and on my 11th Lexus, a 2006 model GS300 SE-L. I started with a 1990 LS400, and went from there. I also own a 2004 Toyota Celsior, which is indistinguishable from the Lexus LS430 Ultra but with velour upholstery. A truly outstanding car. My background is in Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Cadillac; with a few Jaguars for good measure. I'm about to buy an LS430 fully loaded and consign my GS to a rebuild to go racing next year. In my opinion, Lexus are the market leader worldwide, and I can't see anything beating them for the foreseeable future. You criticised the LS460; we don't have a problem with these cars here, maybe we get a better deal in the UK. Certainly, all our Lexus are made exclusively in Japan where yours are not. Perhaps that's the key.

Its an expensive Toyota.

Fun fact about the SC : the platform shares a LOT of similarities with the Mk4 Supra. The 400 is basically a MK4 with a 1UZ! Also, not so fun fact. LTS in Boise won't work on anything pre-1996 >:(

The PFL is better to own and more reliable. Crazy to hear such BS about its styling when the early 400 and the 460 are much less desirable looking.
