Both shown tools are prohibited in most of the EU countries, and that for a good reason. On the other hand, before such a beautiful dog ends up in a shelter or worse, as a last resort solution, it is worth thinking about using those.

I only use the sit, stop, no & naast (next to me) command. I wanna let it enjoy life and make their own choices most of the time, instead of constantly obeying commands
When my dog is on leash, it always follows the direction im going and can decide to walk next to me or go in front or back. When im crossing a street i tighten the line and it instantly walk next to me, when i throw down my penny board it starts sprinting <3
I dont use the free command because it seems useless. I want my dog to watch and follow me, and it will notice when its time for wandering off. I just whistle really hard when i cant see it anymore and it will sprint towards me with a happy face :)

It's difficult to train dogs without any treats, but people in america definitely over-use it from what i've seen in videos and whatnot.
