My opinion but Sho Kusugi was always the better ninja and to see him playing a bad ninja wearing black just seems awkward when ive seen him be a black ninja fighing other color ninjas and bad guys,this almost looks like a storm shadow verses a bootleg version of snake eyes,this was a good fight but ive always preferred to see Sho kusugi as a good ninja plus he did play a bad ninja in the Master but even in that tv show he was a better ninja even against lee van clief

It must have been a hell of a thing, growing up in the old west, and then seeing the next seventy years of technology chugging along. From horses and locomotives, to personal automobiles, and airplanes flying through the sky.

This scene was filmed at a place called white sands in new Mexico. Where the sand is actually white as you see in the movie. I live about 30 mins away from this place 🙂

A great movie, but this scene always makes me laugh. Thornton says "Danaher, you owe me 350 pounds; let's have it!" Now, 350 pounds in 1952 would be worth over 12,000 pounds today. So, we're supposed to believe that Thornton expects Danaher to be carrying the equivalent of about $15,000 in his pockets while he's out working in the field! And, miraculously, he is! Just hilarious...

@6:00 Black ninja just pretends to put his sword in his sheath on his back. Then @7:02 white ninja does the same thing. This just goes to show that re-sheathing a sword on your back is very awkward and time consuming, and you can't just flick it back there like they do in the movies. Because even in the movies they DON'T ACTUALLY DO IT!

In the opening scene of this video the white ninja's tsuba has no holes, its just plain. But immediately after it has holes. Then at the end when he beheads him the kashira is missing. They must have had so many prop swords they couldn't keep track.

Maybe he frequently gets cornered and needs to k*ll in self defense because someone found out about him, and that's when he usually disappears -- not just because he hasn't aged in 10 years. Maybe k*lling is a necessary part of retaining his youth, like the speculation from the first movie that he could be a vampire or life-stealer. The religious kid in the second movie suggested that he was actually the Antichrist.

I forgot how cheesy this was but Sho Kusugi is the real deal,, he was the quintessential Ninja movie star in the 80s. His son Kane Kosugi was in Sho's movie 'Revenge of the ninja' and also went on to co star in Ninja 2:Shadow of a tear alongside Scott Adkins.
