Removing Prairie Grass with a CMP Hydra Bucket
This is not the best application for a Hydra Bucket. This land would benefit from first being mowed, tilled, or disked. But we wanted to show an extreme scenario, as the Hydra Bucket is commonly underestimated. The cutting edges inside the drum cavity are what allows it to perform in this situation as well as it does. It's not the fastest option. The operator needs to take their time, but the end results can't be argued, and that's what we wanted to show.

By far, my 36" CMP HB is the most labor saving attachment, especially in clay dirt ... It also has the highest visuals impact after a project... If you have had a pool built in your back yard, you know what I am talking about... Final clean-up and grade... It forms, shapes and finishes a backyard... I run the SCL-1000... One can pick up how to do things with it quick... You do have to have used it for a good while to become proficient with it... I am still amazed sometime at of the work I still do with it... When I turn off the machine and look at the final results, I'm like "How in the world did I do that"... A two man crew in 4 to 6 hours, do a clean-up and final grade, Thanks Mr. D

Mr Derek, I was wondering if your Forestry Head Grapple with its carbide teeth could grind that field material and also the gravel driveway?
The field material, yes-- gravel driveway, not so much. It's designed for wood and vegetation, you won't get a good cut in gravel, that's best left to the carbide mining teeth on our soil conditioners.

What about hitting rocks?
Small bedding rocks won't be a big deal, anything larger will likely bend/break a tine, but they're easily replaceable.
This is a contraption for most people that don't have tools. I love this video though. I'm considering it myself.
Olaf, with that much repeated ground penetration, it would probably be wise to get the land owner’s consent before starting. 😂

Interesting, I usually just use the teeth for busting up clay or gravel, but this would cleary work better. We also rent harley rakes, but that is a headache. And $250 every time. how much is a 72 inch bucket?

Why don’t you guys use a 4in1 bucket?
A 4 in 1 bucket is awesome, and we make our own with tilt as well. But the Hydra Bucket is purpose built to be simple, affordable, and bulletproof for thousands of hours-- too many options or functions and it loses all those attributes.

Do you make hydrabuckets for kioti ck2610?
They won't work on tractors unfortunately, the continuous flow out front is an issue-- We do make our Hydra Tank, which allows you to run skid attachments on the back of your tractor via 3 point, but it's not a cheap solution, so usually it's a no-go on tractors.

Why is that mounting different? That seems much better than the current design. I just bought one and I feel the way it's mounted isn't great, it's hard to have it at the right angle

@@theokranz The mounting hardware should all be the same then, did you get the round and square u-bolts? Depending on your mower there may be a better spot to mount to.
What's the "bypass?"
So our standard grapples are a clamshell style with bucket sides, the cutting edges touch and will pinch whatever's between them. The Bypass is what you see in this video, so the "fingers" or tines interlock and bypass each other like if you interlaced the fingers of your hands together. This allows for easier manipulation of brush and logs, it's the standard configuration for a forestry grapple.
