I first saw Project A-Ko on a rented English-subtitled laserdisc in 1994. Then I noticed the fine songs while watching it.

I think I rented Project Ako at my local video store back when VHS tapes existed. The Dance Away song really caught my attention and was my favorite song of the movie. I so wanted the Project Ako soundtrack afterwards.. It was either at Animecon 91 or Anime Expo 92 where I actually bought the officially licensed Project Ako soundtrack on cd at the Central Park Media table in the dealers room. I still have tue cd to this day and would play it a couple of times a year. Good music never gets old.

Project A-Ko was MASSIVE for me growing up. I probably didn't see it until maybe '92 or 93 because I was born in '85, but man, that anime really set it off. 1986 was such a rich rear for anime, for music....

Samantha is it true that when Jem ended in 1988 that there were plans for a Jem animated movie to hit the big screen to wrap up the shows storylines. But due to the box office disapointment of The Transformers movie Hasbro changed their minds?!👩‍🎤💃🎥🎬

Dance Away has really stuck with me. I just looked it up again after not having listened to it in years, and I still remembered all of the lyrics. Project A-ko was and still is one of my favorite anime films of all time and Dance Away set the tone. Thank you for your contribution to such a classic! And thank you for this clip, I had no idea this existed!
