fuel system fixed on a budget and running better
Просмотров 1622 месяца назад
Got the fuel system fixed on a budget with this inline fuel pump putting out around 7-10 psi. The truck is running better than it was but carb still needs some tinkering and gotta look into a faulty temp sensor. Have a trans line leaking also but I'll get these things squared away shortly.

Nice
Nice bro❤❤

Question, do i need the mounts for the frame side for the v8 swap or can i still use the 4.3 ones? i do have the mounts for the sb that slides an adjust from fb market
Alot of people use the 2.8 frame mounts
@@alexpowell96 ok I'll order when the time comes
Nice bro, I've also have a l31 4bolt main I'm gonna swap out my 92 S10 soon keep the videos coming u have my support
That is a 283 , 307 , or 327 , someone has big valves and could be hitting the block ? Take one head off , I got a set of Power pack heads that will fit
It was a 307 bore.20 over I ended up fixing it and got it back together with stock parts only thing not stock is a 350 cam that's it. Gonna clean it up and list it since it's fixed ready to go. Already got the 350 in with my goodies had it fire off already gonna have a video up soon on it
It’s shit like this that makes me realize that some people are 10000x smarter than you could ever imagine… bravo dude 🙌
Thanks! Didn't wanna have to drop the tank to get the old nasty gas out this was much quicker and efficient lmao.
@@alexpowell96 I’m 19 and learning everything I can about cars, I just finished my first year of automotive school (about to start year 2) and work at a parts store. I plan on working as a tech when I get my A.S.E cert but there so much knowledge that everyday people have that is just beyond amazing to me. I think I know everything then people like you show you just; “one simple trick” to them but is basically fucking rocket science to everyday people 😂
@@Sloshed_850 that's awesome I wanted to go to school for it but I never did I took some classes In high school but everything they was teaching I already knew I grew up in the mechanic world. There's tons of tricks and tips to make things easier that schools won't teach you but will make your life easier.
I bought a 327 with camel bump heads for 165.00 dollars,it had been bored .30 over ,i put in a camm ,timing chain, new oil pump,i an curently running it in a 68 chev shortbed😮🎉
That's a nice score! The deals are out there that's for sure just hard to find sometimes
Man just found your channel make sure valve timing is correct and your dist. isn't 180 out
I ended up figuring it out got it fixed gonna clean it up and sell it now that it's good to go. I took my goodies out and put them in my 350 and put stock parts back in the 307
@@alexpowell96 good deal
@@alexpowell96 , The 307 is a 327 crank in a 283 block , those big 350 heads has a big valve and they are hitting the block as they open , the 283 block has the smaller bore than the 350 heads that are on there ..
180degrees out of time
I Doubt you are spinning it fast enuff to git a good compression reading nor to pump up lifters.. id bet a dollar it is out of time man.
It was spinning over fast as heck lol. Ended up pulling it out though didn't see anything really wrong with the timing or the heads. I ended up snagging a 350 though already got my goodies going in it at the moment
Re check the valve adjustment. If it's still in.
I had got some sbc engines in a deal. 2 were fully rebuilt. Lol. Spray paint and chrome. Lol. But were 4 bolts. They had the rocker adjustment all messed up.
Good luck on you truck. Looks like a good time. Lol
Think that's all they did on this was clean it up and do a horrible spray paint job with some cheap chrome. I'll be tearing into this one fixing it and selling it since I have a known good 350 going in it now. @@samrotheray5805
@alexpowell96 . I'd hang on to it if possible. Ya never know what you may come across. Lol. Glad to see ya doing the work. I've done alot of engines. Keep up the great work. It's all a learning experience.
Quadrajets were good but they had so many different types. They were also very flimsy and rebuilding them was Russian Roulette. The throttle shafts would wear the shaft and bodies. And you can’t unscrew the throttle plates. I loved the economy and performance after dialing it in. I settled on the Edelbrock AVS/AFB for daily driving and the Holley for racing. The 750-850 DP s are great with turbo blow through and Centrifugal blowers.
I ran the avs on my f100 worked amazing nothing but good things to say about them. I got this holley street warrior for a pretty good deal always had good things from them. Quadrajets are hit or miss thats for sure.
@@alexpowell96I prefer Holley all around. If you work the idle air bleed and emulsion circuit you can dial them in for part throttle cruise way easier than the AFB. I street drive a 1250 dominator and get better mileage than the guys I run with who have way less cubes/power. Also as the weather/air density changes you simply pull the air filter and thread in a different air bleed, no carb disassembly required. The AFB’s are a bugger to make a jet change on after many hours of chassis dyno time (worked at a shop/was the carb guy) they never dial in right on anything much hotter than a stock build.
30,000 mile $ 400? It's more like old-school overhaul gaskets and paint. Beware of deals ,too good to be true.
The glove box is killing me😂. This is a problem for every single b6 including my own.
You ain't lying 🤣😂
I have one too. must've been replaced because its going strong 🦾
nice rig! where u get those black rim rings?
They was on the wheels when I got the jeep while back but they’re online I think i seen them for around 279.99 I’ll try to find the link

How to Install a 4” drop Shackle kit on a 1966 F-100
Sorry I’m just seeing this , are you still needing help with that drop shackle
Love that body style. Newly subscribed
love to see it good so far!
check ur pcv for that whistling or its a vacuum leak
It most definitely was the pcv hose it was in rough shape I had to replace it actually
That's awesome...
Why I hate buying used shit. You sell you take that as opportunity to beat on something before giving to owner.
Lmao funny you say that My cousin that I traded it to WAS THERE . I take very good care of my stuff LOL
Beautiful truck
This is the time you can practice drifting and save you tires from being destroyed
Looks like a Thuren heim joint steering system on a Dodge Ram 2500/3500. Which many don't know isn't legal for street use.
Lmao this isnt the UK or California, we don’t have laws on steering components ya dimwit
Clean ride! I would love to enjoy this project, hope you have fun with it!
_What was wrong with the a4?_
Nothing I fixed everything on the car before I traded it.
I saw this truck on market place
Hated to get rid of it but needed to pay off some things that came up. Wish I could buy it back honestly.
How much you get rid of it for
Little more than asking price for holding it for a guy that drove couple states away and drove it all way home zero issues
Your bumpstop is against the axle already so drop shackles wouldn't drop. I could be wrong but I think you're supposed to notch the frame when you axle flip. Love the truck
Your correct your supposed to do a mini c notch It was the plan before I put shackles on it
Trash son
where did you get your fog light grills? I can't find any for my 2005 ultrasport A4 B6.
I got these off eBay unfortunately , I wasn’t able to find any new oem ones . These fit just as good great fitment just not oem. Seem to be good quality so far though.
I've bought a couple sets off ebay but non of them fit my Ultrasport.
That’s weird

Nice. I got a 78, 302 I'm working on now, lotta rust, cutting and welding new floor pans on it now. I just ordered a sandblasting kit that attaches to a power washer. Got a still 4200 psi power washer. I'll let you know how well it works, if your interested. Should have it set up this weekend.
That would be nice to have definitely let me know how well it works. Gonna be starting on my 63 f100 here soon that would be a handy tool to have around
Man I don't like for tuck but your truck do looks good for what year it is
Was a 76
what size lift and tire and sounds like my jeep has 340k still killin it
This one has 234k but holds 55-60lbs oil pressure steady. It’s got 35s on it I was told it’s a 6.5 lift
Wow they got those door seals at lmc truck.i got them to send meva catalog. They have everything for that truck. LMC. Nice truck by the way. Yours is redcn white, mine is blue and white.
Yeah I got a catalog buddy of mine recommended these but he used for another truck not a f100 they worked good for him but definitely not for me they were absolute garage
Nice, is that a 1976?
It is a 76
Nice truck. I have a 74 f100 inline 6, 3 on the tree. It looks like its in similar shape paint wise. I am currently working on fixing the rust above the drip rails by patchwelding it. Keep up the good work.
For a second I thought it was playing some cumbia she got rhythm fam🔥🔥
I dont think those are good sounds...
Thanks , she runs pretty good

Please just leave it original 😢😢😢 dont ruin it !!!
Why this music.... lame
Definitely looks like it also needs some body work too
Been working on that.
What year

Looks like a fun restoration project
It most definitely has been , a lot of learning as well. Been a European or jap car guy for long time but made the switch and love it.
I had a beautiful 76 long bed. Little canned 302 true duals and a 3 on the tree. I was 18 and I’m 47 now and miss that truck so much. Don’t ever sell urs if u can help it
