just about every one of these are killing your principle. They have been cut in half since the beginning of 2024. All of these yield calculations dont take into consideration your principle risk and calculating how much even a 10% decline would kill your returns

I hold 10 of the Yieldmax ETFs, including CONY, and with the dividends received I am in the green with all of them. 7 of them are in the green in the NAV alone and the massive divies are a very nice bonus. I hold SPYT and SVOL as well. Very pleased with all of my high-yield ETFs.

I’m considering buying a very small portion of CONY in my Roth, and using the dividends to buy other funds or stocks that are far more stable.

I have YTSL, TSLY, NVDY, FTN, BTCY and YNVD I will have a look at CONY and maybe dabble. Thanks!

I only buy YM ETFs the ones that pay at least $1.00 dollar dividend every month so if they pay more i consider it extra bonus.

You make no mention of the length of time any of these ETF's has been around, and this metric to me is critical. NONE of the very high yielding ETF"s have any longevity today (not more than one year), and NONE of those that have been around over 3 years is yielding anything close to 20%. That ought to tell us something. I feel much more confident investing no more than $5000 in each of 18 of these high yielding ETF"s, and all of them have over three years history of stable share price and consistent dividend payments. With the exception of SVOL and BDCX which are both yielding @15%, (and I suspect these two will slightly erode their dividend yield over time) all the others are paying @11-12%. Two lessons I have learned from investing: be patient and don't get greedy.

I've tried trading, selling covered calls, buying calls, selling short, etc. I sold 50k in options last year, and I'm negative about 2k net on those trades. My best, most reliable option going forward is to DCA index mutual funds within qualified retirement accounts. The answer is always "It depends." If you're 30-40 and unemployed, some combination of both might be worth looking into. Depending on the size of your investment, it allows you to not work unless you want. But it all depends on what your lifestyle requires.

I have a little bit of both, and I love seeing my JEPQ dividend every month. I grabbed SCHD after the split and it hasn’t impressed me yet.

What about if SCHD doesn't continue to raise dividend? Because you can't bank on them constantly increasing dividend, there is definitely a cap on it. I really don't see SCHD EVER paying all the way up to 11%🤷

I'm going to start a position in JEPQ next year.

Vanguard VTI. You can count on a net 9% with a reasonable standard deviation of 15 to 17%. Start early, be consistent and the miracle of compound growth will take over. Use time as the real basis of growth...it takes about 5 years.

JEPQ for me being a couple years til retirement I want the income to live on…but I own both as well as JEPI, DIVO, SPLV, DGRO

I have both with SCHD shares currently having a 9 to 1 advantage over JEPQ in number of shares. I drip the SCHD and use the dividends from JEPQ to buy more SCHD. The SCHD is dripping over 150 shares a year while the JEPQ adds another 90 something. It makes a huge difference towards getting to my target allocation of SCHD. After SCHD hits the goal I'll use the JEPQ to help grow my SCHG. Its all in an IRA.

Don't be seduced by large dividends. Concentrate on total return. There is no sense in collecting large dividends if your overall investment is going down however I’d say SPYI, JEPQ, QQI and IWMI. But do your research. Personally I put down 250k on few ETFs, still diversifying. Earning season is around the corner, It was this time last year I made a huge break through with 200k. Handed it to a firm here in Texas, I get weekly pay out which I put back on long term ETF's. IWM will probably crush it this quarter

SCHD is more tax favorable if you are young and trying to drip dividends over the course of 10-20 years. Plus no covered calls, I am in favor of SCHD and it is my main ETF with over 2000 shares.
