I wish I had a mother like everybody here but I don't. Mine is an incredibly abusive, drug addicted prostitute with a bunch of mental issues. I won't go into detail but it was awful. I wish I had a normal childhood like everybody else.

When I was in high school, there was a teacher than I was best friends with. He praised me more often than not for the work I did and he believed in me. However, as school, was ending for me, he began to see me as a liability rather than someone he believed in. When I hear this song, I am reminded of question I am always had ag the back of my mind during my college days: Do I make him proud? Wherever he is, I wish him the best.... Sometimes teachers don’t remember their students, but they remember their teacher.

I woke up 17 years later today thinking of my 5th grade graduation song. 🥹memories
This song makes me remember my brother. He committed suicide four and a half years ago over a false accusation from a woman that he was going to be dating and the song came on the loudspeaker at my work shortly after I heard that he committed suicide. When it came on the loudspeaker my eyes teared up because that was his guardian angel saying to me from him do I make you proud. I answered yes because I was always proud of Cliff he was the hands and feet of Jesus throughout his life. Even though I was his older brother and I know in a lot of ways he looked up to me, I looked up to him in a lot more ways.
