I realized the lancea control route is probably not the way to go lol. At least, without big fish. Locals was fun but lost some matches I felt like I probably should have won if I had some more gas in certain situations. FYI! I’ll be going back to my deck list I had a little bit ago !!

@@Mr_Robot0101 I’d rather have access to all of my ED, in case certain lines come up. It depends on the lines I’d have available but pot wouldn’t hurt at all ! LOL

Big fish lines are very powerful boardstates, sometimes unbreakable. I’ve been loving the deck picked it up a few weeks ago

@@BryanCastellanos-r7v big fish into Toad + Neptabyss/Toad plays through droll pretty well. But yes on the other hand if I’m playing one line, the other may not be needed. I’ve just found that both come up in different situations I.e. if I have no extenders and haven’t gotten hand knowledge with minstrel yet, I’m probably going for Big fish. However if I don’t have a way to get to hand knowledge(I’ve been HT’d) I’m just gunna search Aegerine with Abysshrine and end with lancea pass. I may end up taking the fish package out for a heavier approach to Access Lancea.

@@EyesOfNeji00 I just think the point of Lancea over big fish is less bricks + end board that can still consistently win going first, so running both feels very situational. God boards are not really as popular right now vs consistency and having enough HTs for going second.

@@BryanCastellanos-r7v 100% agree !! I'm thinking of ditching fishy boy and going with Icejade at my next locals! Fish king was mainly for lines to play through droll

@@EyesOfNeji00 let me know how it goes! i havent been able to truly test out the deck because of the holidays. so far in DB, ive hardly faced any droll, a lot of nib tho

I think Tear(pure) is middle T2. However, Tear Fiendsmith is somewhere in upper Tier2. The fiendsmith cards help and have some synergy with the FS a bit too.

Alot of builds only run that with armor cards to make turn 1 more consistent. I like that build more than this.

@@SergejMilovec personally, I think it makes more sense to keep Chengying in there because he’s a big body that’s hard to get rid of in a simplified game state. Granted, if you’re making a synchro 10 and up against Maliss/Ryzeal, the Icejade synchro can come in hand(assuming you’re still playing Coleoncanth)

Yessir !!! That's what we love to hear!!!! What were the matchups?! My 1 loss this tourney(4-1) was against tenpai. They drew fuwaross + impulse both games. Only so much you can do haha

@@EyesOfNeji00 I got pretty lucky I didn't face the tenpai players but I usually fare pretty well against that deck. My matchups were: Pure fire king Fire King SE Azamina Voiceless Voice Branded Branded Voiceless voice Mulcharmys and Impulses all over the place but half the players didn't know what the deck does lol. I saw you run droplets but I run Moulinglacia(won me two matches), 'ice barrier' trap, and Talents. I also do small world instead of Eria. I don't play impulse(not by choice) and I can get to any monster through a small world and droll.

@ I’m assuming if you’re running the hand rip, you probably have 2 FBG 1 IB trap 1 glacia?

@@EyesOfNeji00 too many times FBG has been a brick, so I dont rely on the trap too much, either I draw it or get it with mage if my hand allows me too. I can ditch it with revealer or going second with utopic ray lancer. You can also search moulinglacia with small world!

I like swap frog, but I wanted to try running more non-engine while keeping the list at 40. Eria is great because it's an immediate searcher and can search you stuff under shifter. Frog is sorta useless against shifter. Eria adds more consistency to the deck, which, in my opinion with the style I play, makes the deck better. Also, siding patterns become very easy with the HT lineup I have.

I use small world because i dont have the purullia and impulse. so i get searches off not just my waters but also my handtraps(ash, droll, ghost ogre) Also, give crystron quandax a shot. If you have icejade or georgius in hand to make you lancea. after you get your anemone eff, you can use mage to only create 1 token. bring out spellbreaker with winds on single token. use speaker for another token. mage + token equals cryston. If they figure something out to get over your spell breaker, you can synchro into graydle or white aura whale on their turn. really catches them off guard.

@ that’s honestly not bad. I like the way you’re thinking. But is that line better then just ending on lancea?

@@EyesOfNeji00 it's the same end board + quandax. toad, lancea, spellbreaker, quandax. all you need is a georgius or icejade in hand to make lancea instead of making off your tokens + winds

@@TonallixxEuphoria well, I don’t play master duel, but my advice would be to play cards dependent on what you’re seeing. Too many imperm, veilers, etc. ? Main deck book of eclipse/book of moon to help protect the targeting. Afraid of ash? Make sure you’ve got called by + Crossout. Hope this helps!

@@TonallixxEuphoria or, main deck 3 talents, so at the very least you can punish their hand after they use a HT on you!

Ghost mourner on the synchro resolves backwards, since I was turn player, my chain link would have to be mandatory CL1, and his CL2. Mourner does nothing to negate the synchro’s effect since his book of moon effect will have already resolved.

@@EyesOfNeji00 isn’t it a when effect? The last that that would have happened was he summoned the monster right? The effect happens on summon? Or am I missing something?

@@JamesBates-mn4ki yes so does the synchro monster as it is a trigger effect on summon. He’s not turn player so for any trigger effect I have, his would come later in the chain. The other larger synchro as well as a quick effect(he can just chain to mourner). So using mourner would have resulted in my monsters being booked, and missing the window for negating the effect due to turn priority

Actually, Swap Frog is crucial for this deck and is a 1.5 card combo that can summon Lancea with Toad. I was thinking of playing Stealth Kragen, but Zelantis with the Marincess combo is just so broken and something I didn't know about until just now. Definitely will play it

@@anthonyvenedicto518 Swap frog is amazing! I'm never taking it out of the build, I think it offers lots of options for deckbuilding. I'll be posting an updated profile later at some point!

After watching this I asked him about it and did indeed confirm it cannot activate in damage step. An honest mistake made by a relatively new judge! Thanks for the comment🙏🏼

Also when he searched for tenpai with Red he should’ve grabbed White not green. Then grabbed kiamen (the other spell) then used that for green later

Honestly, I don’t feel like it!! There’s much more room for consistency, with easier access to lvl8’s, but I’m excited for the support, it will help play against shifter decks a little more. Also centurion can use the Omni-trap now that there will probably be an extra card to send from S/T! Maybe cut down on the bystials for now, and just side them

Nah Trudea is a lvl4 normally and was normal’d to make a synchro 8 Packbit. Also 2 trudea’s were SS’d. Lvl8 Trudea was used for the crimson dragon G2 lvl4 was used for another packbit.

@@looneyloonatic Bystials are great at 3 especially if Horus is in the mix as well imo. The desires are very useful for Grindy game states I’ve found, and if I don’t have an extender in hand or want more hand traps it’s useful in that case as well. I’ll test it out without desires as well though! The list will probably need to shrink a little anyways with the support

Oh 1000% ! That's if they haven't gotten rid of trudea at that point...lots of options ! Love this deck. Hypothetically if they have sky burn, or whatever they choose to pop early and they eliminate trudea you have the bystial lvl10 option. obviously it hurts if the primera gets removed, it's the only tuner..... :( Thanks for the comment !
