I pulled the frets and applied a white vinyl. Then I painted and cleared over it to match the body. Once that cured, I level sanded the fretboard to be nice and smooth.

Agreed. I was surprised at how many different guitar parts this song has. I remember having to pan the guitar track left and right at times just to be sure I wasn’t getting the parts mixed up.

@@anthonylumpkins8632 thanks for being interactive with ur audience. would u ever realise a ‘cover’ that shows the all the cool little guitar bits, because I myself don’t have the ear to figure them out. the clean guitar that James plays behind the verse chorus bridge is so nice, the harmonics Kirk adds r eery. I think a cover showing only the guitar extras would be amazing.

As far as releasing a cover of just the extra guitar parts, I don’t know how many people would be interested in that. But what I can do is film a clip of me playing those parts and do a split-screen or something.

@@anthonylumpkins8632 I think that would be amazing, because when I searched up covers of I dissapear, it was because I was looking for the clean guitar and the harmonics, and I’ve noticed a lot of people commenting on various covers, that they r also looking for people playing those bits. there’s James main track, and Kirk’s main tracks. I reckon a split screen, where u play the main track (like u have here) coupled with another one where u play all the hidden extra’s that r barely audible in the recording would attract a lot of attention. because no one has done it. Metallica doesn’t even do it live. I.e the clean guitar, the ‘groove’ open e chugs that r seperate to the main rhythm, and controlling the harmonics with a whammy bar. it would be an awesome opportunity to release a piece of content and know, ur the only person that has made isolated tracks of that exist.

For this cover I was running through my Peavey Invective MH into my Marshall 1960AV 4x12 (4 Celestion G12 Vintage speakers) mic’d with an SM57. The only pedal I used was my ISP Decimator II G String. I don’t know if you care what pick/strings I was using, but I’m rocking a Tortex Jazz III 1.0 with Ernie Ball 10-52 I believe. I’ve switched gauges since so I don’t remember exactly.
