Saw Sean jones and in blood brothers last night his performance as Mickey is phenomenal

I saw this, and Nikki Evans did something, I don't know what, but in the second act, she seemed much older than in the first. She had the demeanour of someone who had settled for what she had instead of dreaming of something better. You really felt that years had passed during the interval just by her manner.

i am seeing tgis for the 4th / 5th time tomorrow and im so hyped. i love everything from those amazing electric drums so the foreshadowing and even how the overture plays at the end - symbolizing that the show was technically played backwards uf you think about it - i love itttttt!

This was the best acted scene ever. Who else took GCSE drama,and saw this on stage as part of their GCSE work? You could just HEAR the level of upset in Linda's voice at the start of the video,as she desperately wanted Mickey to be happy again. Then,at 7:45,the one moment where the whole screen turned to red,it then changed to a tension moment,of an alarm being raised to everyone that there was a robber on the loose. That is my favourite part,showing easily that there is danger going on,and is therefore a signal for everyone to be cautious and careful. And the male narrator singing away whilst the screaming and shouting was happening,from 7:55-9:05,was making it more clear and obvious for the audience to see what was going on. The reddy-orange coloured light at 8:05,alongside Mrs Johnstone running offstage was clear tension,making us all see that Mickey was causing chaos in the street. 13:22 The overture music comes back on once again,telling everyone that the worst has happened,the secret of the 2 boys being a pair,and they have both been shot to death,as of what was previously said earlier on in the play..😢😢 15:24 the level of upset in her face can imply to the audience that she wishes it were all just a dream.. But the MOST emotional scene is Mrs Johnstone kissing them both at the end,kneeling down...

I saw blood brothers earlier today and it's amazing how they can keep every performance the same

I got to see this in theatre a few weeks ago. It was amazimg!!

I went to this performance today with some of the same actors! This is amazing I'm in love with this and the actors!!!

Went to a blood brothers performance in Wembley theatre, with my school absolutely fantastic, we got to meet the actors at stage door they were all so lovely

Just watched this live at the Southampton mayflower and i have never jumped so hard in my life at the death scene, not only that but i was next to the side door mickey came out of and i just loved the whole thing

Stephen Palfreman was in my view the definitive Mickey. Never seen Sean but I also loved Con O'Neil's performance.

The repetition of today gives me goosebumps every time😁 one of the best musicals EVER 😊

I saw blood brothers last year at the Sunderland empire theatre and the gun gave me a fright at the end and it even made me cry

What year is this recording & who plays the brothers got an idea just not 100%.

Just seen it and things have changed. It’s even better now. The characters were different as well apart from the devils knocking on your door guy

I can't believe Sean is done playing Mickey. He's only got a few more shows before he leaves the role for good. Blood brothers isn't going to be the same without him

OMG i've been searching for the best "Tell Me It's Not True" because i remembered seeing a clip many years ago and that scene was devastating. There are a lot of bad versions out there, even ones with big name stars who are terrible. This Nikki Evans one is by far the best. The emotion in her voice and on her face and even her body language is heart wrenching-as it should be. So many other versions, Mrs. J just stands there and sings emotionless, and that ruins the whole show in my opinion. I'm so happy to have found this version. thank you to the OP.

Saw in it Cardiff this year. Even got a photo with sean Jones. He is amazing as Mickey! Can't wait to go see it again! Most epic play I've ever seen. Just breathtaking.
