I have one of these taps but mine is the later version which has a couple of ribs on it to help you turn it. However unless you got a really good grip, you still can’t turn it. Why it doesn’t have a lever (and the button) like on the other side,(Which doesn't actually have a button) I have no idea.

My Pfister LG42 doesn’t appear to have a grub screw. How do I remove the round cap at the top? Thx

Yeh easy when it’s brand new on a bench. You try getting to a limescale caked 10 year old one with no access.

Please can you tell what mixer tap is it? I’m looking for that chrome cover bit that you removed first. I have different horizontal in wall mixer but your chrome cover and thermostatic valve looks the same. I only found vermet name on the valve and I have no idea what is the mixer maker😬.

Where is the isolator to turn off the water when fitting a replacement filter ?

Brilliant. It's more dangerous keeping the spring loaded tap! Mine went in two weeks. Got a new handle, but forgot spring was separate. After video it seems acceptable to not have the spring. Thank you.

Not long had one fitted , and the boiling tap actually fell apart . The spring was also a nuisance for my wife , so this video is a life-saver . Many thanks.

Please I have issues of this same cartridge , the water is not coming out ,the I open it to cleaning it After cleaning up I fixed it back But now the problem is Is only hot water coming out The cold water is not coming out Please what is the solution...

Where to I get filter from to replace

Thanks for the tip, mine is not the same but very similar. The tap worked ok but didn't return to the default position. When I dismantled it the spring had come out of the locating hole on the brass component and ultimately had unwound. I needed to remove the brass component on the spigot and rewind the spring to give the correct tension and then reassemble. Working perfectly now!

My problem is that I can't get the metal housing off the main tap body once I've taken the first screw out. Not sure if it's stuck on due to dirt.
