Born and bred in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, we (Natalie & David) met at a Newcastle match at St James Park. As our friends say, our 'song' has to be Rhianna's, 'We Found Love (in a hopeless place)'!
Our love for travel has seen us travel to over 60 countries together. In total, David has visited 81 and Natalie is slowly catching up at 73. We've lived in Newcastle, Dubai, Singapore, Koh Samui, Bangkok and Hua Hin, Thailand and are finally living our dream in Japan. We always travel with our dog Wylie Westie. Sam Roi Yot National Park | Day trip from Hua Hin
We drove about 1 hour south of Hua Hin to Sam Roi Yot National Park. We walked along the boardwalk then took a longtail boat for about 30 minutes. After we hiked to Khao Daeng Viewpoint. Next time we plan to do the Phraya Nakhon Cave which is meant to be amazing too. #huahin #samroiyot #nationalpark #thailand #amazingthailand

It does have a toilet but the rental agency wouldn’t let us use it properly. Had to use bags over it.

It looks like a good toilet. But why use plastic bags?
The company we rented from don't let you use it properly as with a rental vehicle I guess they don't want to have to clean the tank etc and probably gets left in some gross states. The other van we have rented since (Adria) allows us to use it properly so we much prefer that option and just clean out the tank ourselves before we hand it back.

Am also looking to rent a campervan in Japan with built-in shower. Found very little options so far, most without shower. Other than Nomad, did you come across other rental companies that has vans with shower? Onsen is nice but some people want options and flexibility :-)

I am totally knackered after that trek, and I was a bit worried about wildlife jumping out at me (mainly🪱🪱)😨 You both must be very fit, nice going but not so much having to walk all that way back x
I know, we didn't know what on earth was out there! When we got to a certain point you couldn't get to the road either so you just had to keep going. Thankfully this time we had our bear bell so we kept ringing that the whole way round even though it was super annoying! The reward of the hot bath and delicious food made it all worthwhile :)

From what I read it was something to do with proving her wealth and skills because it took ages to learn how to walk like that. Also the shoes were really expensive and when walking like that they got scuffed so it was kind of to show hey I’m so rich I don’t care. Yes I think at the end they were very happy to know they could go and relax for a beer 😂
