Setting up a Moreside indexable trunnion
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.Год назад
This tip will show you the options on finding the X and Y location on a Moreside indexable trunnions. Basically the same for Models 175, 200, 250 and the indexable trunnion. The first option is what I mostly use. It will get you within .0005" and good for most jobs. The second option is for when I need to go the extra mile for a tight tolerance optics part. • @ivan61726

    A question? For this fixture, would I have to have a Work offset for each view on my part?

    • @kevind1865
      @kevind1865 11 месяцев назад

      A bit late, but maybe still helpful. It depends on your machine. Most modern controls will have a Dynamic Work Offset or Dynamic Fixture Offset option that will allow you to set 1 work offset, and it will calculate the new position of that work offset when the part rotates. Without an option like that, yes, you will need a new work offset for each degree position you're milling at. Its not terrible for a single part like this, but if you start holding 20 parts on a tomb stone, you can run into the hundreds of work offsets if you have some odd angles.

    Hi, I'm amazed with that fixture, but i have a question, where do you put your axis on the cam program? on the top of the part and the middle of Y axis, or in the center of the HRT160?

    It could also be the bearings in the motor as well - my machine came with bad bearings in the spindle motor that sounded similar. I replaced the motor bearings and got the rotor balanced - haven't put the motor back on the machine yet to see if the spindle bearings themselves are also bad

    • @gorak9000

      ruclips.net/video/8YfdCRDG33M/видео.html In this video I took the belt off between the motor and the spindle, and only running the motor, and I have that same "rocks in a blender" type bearing noise.
