I SO understand the feeling of being embarrassed to draw fanart of something that feels irrelevant or not trendy. There's so many "irrelevant" or mostly unknown actors/characters/movies/TV shows that I love that sometimes feel weird to do fanart for. But it's authentic, like you said, and if that's what's fun then that's what matters ✨

same, same, SAME!!!!! especially regarding the whole insta reels doing worse than posts, it's so frustrating!!! like, the platform wants you to create these videos, but then they do poorly, wth?! youtube shorts have also been AMAZING for my channel growth too. tho, many of the subs ive gained from shorts dont watch my long-form content, which is kinda annoying, but what can you do lol

PREACH!!!! i feel the same way :) my way of combating this was to promise myself to post weekly on youtube. if i was busy, sometimes that would mean i would post without a voice over, and just music, and weeks i had more time i could do a video with more illustrations etc. (delusional yet somehow working??) understandably, this probably doesn't work for everyone, but ive come so far that it would hurt my soul if i lost my weekly streak now haha subbed! love the art and you have such a nice voice! <3

Same! Growing up I didn’t hone in on the fundamentals like I should’ve and now that I’m an adult and want to really get more into character design and story-telling…it’s like starting all over again. But it’s channels like yours that doesn’t make me feel like I’m trying to climb this massive hill alone. We got this!💪🏾

Very relatable!! An important thing to remember is that art block doesn't last forever. I hate that feeling when you have no inspiration or feel like your skills can't catch up with the ideas you have, and yeah, I totally get feeling like a lazy artist! One thing that really helps me with studying is actually moving away from screens and printing out some reference pics (for example, anatomy, or an artist you admire) and just drawing them calmly with no distractions available. finding the fun in learning new things about art can be really inspiring, I'm looking forward to seeing what you learn!

Oh my gosh, yes!!!! I always listen to music suiting my character/what they would listen to!!! I like to sing out loud too! I love that I'm not the only one 😂✨✨✨

I always listen to music while drawing, and I usually mouth the words but don't actually make any noise haha 😅 I've got lots of freckles and I love them - but I give almost every oc of mine freckles too! Also how do you draw hands so nicely?? I love your art! :D

I wish I had freckles too... I used to, in the summer when the sun came out, but I barely go outside now with all my classes and summer courses... Trying to graduate high school early with a college degree (in a scholarship program) really takes up time...this video was really relaxing to draw along to though, except I want a milkshake now lol :3

I completely can relate to your feeling, I had instagram since 2018, it was really great at first, but in past few years (and especially after ‘reels’ update) it just began its downfall, I was already so exhausted with reels, trends and posting frequently that at some point I just felt like I don’t enjoy making art anymore, and AI thing was the last drop, I moved to Cara at the beginning of June and I really like it there, I understand that you can’t grow your art business or have hundred thousands of followers but there you can actually feel that art community is a COMMUNITY, sharing and enjoying art without worrying, that’s what I was missing these past years 🤍✨

I love your art style, keep persevering with your sketches!! I love looking back at old sketchbooks and seeing how I've improved, remember that sketchbooks are a place to experiment and be imperfect :D
