not to be a wiseass, but at this point you've probably ended up replacing it since it's not installed correctly - was it difficult to remove with the glue?
a cats paw is a very good tool in removing stubborn carpet and its staples and nails. thanks for the vid. we are doing our blue carpet replacement on our 30foot searay sedan bridge soon and will replace with cherry vinyl. cant wait.

I've seen videos where they built new hatch doors because of all the staples. Also did you have to build up your panel from underneath ?
