As usual, you were the only customer in Smiths. I have no idea how those places stay open.
8:43 it can simply take off the body snip oun of the speaker wires and put a switch in there a on off soun switch
Great video, well edited and with a Gerry Anderson connection, you van count me in to follow your exploits. I hope your bridge will be up to standard, otherwise youll have to call International Rescue
Enjoyed this Bob - seeing an n gauge build was enough but bringing in Thunderbirds was the icing on the cake. Thank you & good luck with Allington!
Great start, really enjoyed the video. The changing between film and SCARM and animation was really good. Subbed! Do come on over and check out the dark side too if you like? Best wishes Jules
Good luck Bob 👍
This video just popped up in my feed. I am very glad it did.
Bingo Bongo Bingo... Toot Toot..!🚝
Your model railway is whatever you want it to be. It doesn't have to be 100% realistic or accurate in any way of design. Beginning with a small and simple oval of track is the best way forward. True, we all make mistakes here and there. That's how we all learn. Your railway doesn't have to be based on a main line or preserved railway station in real life. This is where the fun of using one's imagination comes in. Take me for example. I don't have room for a baseboard, accessories have sufficed wonderfully well. The two ovals of track in my bedroom are now a proper imaginative railway, with a name that no-one has ever thought of: Cat Valley Steam Railway in honor of my feline friends. Thomas the Tank Engine comes out to play. Who says we can't be kids? Where will your imagination take you? Have fun and do whatever you want.
That's a great way of looking at it. Rule 1 is always it's your railway and you can run what you like. I had an idea for a 009 layout based on a fake preserved line called the Ecksan Wyedale Railway from the algebra "x and y dale"
im excited to see this layout grow!
Good luck on the this new adventure, will subscribe so I can see more , hello from Canada
Hi Bob, I’m about a month into modelling my own N gauge coffee table layout called Upper Carrom because it sits on top of a Carrom board. Loved the video and look forward to seeing more progress. Thunderbirds are Go! 👌
A coffee table layout is a very creative idea. Have you and Instagram or any context on RUclips, I'd love to see it
@ hi Bob, yes. I’m blogging about it at roleplay-geek.blogspot.com/2024/10/n-gauge-model-railway-carrom-table.html and I upload regular short running videos on you tube
your editing is like a clever YTP! It makes watching alot of fun! I subbed I hope to see your layout grow :)
This looks tobe a fun little railroad. I am an HO scale modeler but I appreciate N scale too. I have subscribed to see how this layput progresses. Good luck from the USA! Oh, I am also a Thunderbirds fan!
It's the first time I've had your video recommended to me but the combination of Thunderbirds references, Gran Turismo music and a model railway build means you can count me in.
ohhh so familiar when it comes to some stock being picky. my own N gauge effort is twin loop (a bit smaller than this I think) and I have a class 47 that runs on all of it, except one point in one direction when it will have a little sleep on its side. and some Mk3 coaches that don't like the outer loop in the opposite direction oh and a pair of class 86 that dislike half the track.. in the end I gave up, all I can offer as advice is test everything, over and over... looks good though :)
Taking the name from Thunderbirds is a really cool idea
Hi bob iam just starting to build a layout but I don’t no how to get it all working right
Thats what this series is for. I really dont know a lot about this but its all about learning along with me.
This is a good beginning👍👍👍
Oh man this music makes me want to go back to my youth and play gran tourismo
Thank you! I couldn't remember where it was from!
I don't want to go down the rabbit hole of train modelling, but I'll happily watch you do it.
Rabbit hole is a very good way of describing it. Glad to have you with me
Hello bob! I’ve came across your layout and can’t wait for future updates looks good so fair and you got any way we could chat about railways you got any social media?
Hi. I have an instagram of the same name. I'll make sure to include it in future videos so folk can have a look
@ oh unfortunately don’t have instagram but I’ve got fb !
If first episode is indication, should be interesting to follow along, subbed.
Very cool are you in Manchester???
Very based

Nice Video! I've never seen a miniature railway in this scale, because here in italy sadly there are less than a handful. I'd really love to own one of these locomotive and yours looks stunning! Keep up with this content i'd love to see more. cheers from Italy!
im so glad this just showed up on my recommended
I have owned a 7 1/4" gauge battery electric locomotive since Aug 2020. She can't much in terms of passengers (which is odd as I got her from a commercial railway) but I love her to bits however, I haven't given her a proper run since September 2023 because there are not many properly length railways in my area (one of the nearest is in Sutton Coldfield) & my car isn't big enough to take her anywhere. I can't decide whether I should sell her and the drivers wagon or not. I just love my locomotive too much to sell her on but I currently have no use for her. The last time I used her was on a small bit of temporary track in my garden back in the late March / early April
Love the editing
Would be cool to see restored to steam
Definitely would
That looks so cool
Excellent job once again Bob, keep the videos going..😊
I've really enjoyed watching your video, very informative, I use to like the Pacer train an I agree the yellow colour was awful..keep the videos coming Bob.👍🏻👍🏻🚈
Ah, the good old Pacer trains! Brings back memories of simpler times. They may not have been the fastest or the most comfortable, but they sure had character. Watching your video took me on a nostalgic journey. Keep up the great work, young one!
