[Million Arthur: Arcana Blood] Thief Rejump Combo (Element Counter Demonstration)

Probably nowhere near optimal but it looked neat and did a nice chunk of damage. Uses no meter but blows all your assist points.
Element Counter is an interesting mechanic in MAAB that lets you force counterhit properties by attacking consecutively with different elements. Ice followed by Wind will cause the wind move to become a counterhit, as will Wind followed by Fire, or Fire followed by Ice. In particular Thief 5D becomes a launcher on counterhit, but it's slow, so fishing would be dangerous. Instead, we can use Mage-Guild to hit with ice beforehand and then use it to launch mid-combo.

Sometimes you just say "yeah this looks about right" and sink a 50 footer? (I intentionally went into the orange on the tee shot because I realized I had overhit and wanted to pull back the power. As you can see it didn't really work...)

Because CT asked so nicely even if it's only about 20K better than the one I just uploaded... This run is a lot faster because I was paying much more attention to stock decay (every second when you are topped out, if you have stocks, you'll lose one. This delays the death timer, but of course makes it harder to farm the stock bonuses.)

Worlds most underrated and forgotten puzzle game
it sure is an interesting one, though vs is a little too chaotic imo
i could never find a guide for this game, do you know if the speedup is avoidable and or does the score and big chunk combos matter, if i only wanna reach lvl 99? or is it just good playing, decision making and practice. Also very impressive gameplay!
speed and number of colors are based on level, so you can't avoid that. if you want to score well then the best way is really big blobs but higher difficulties give you less time with fewer colors, making that more difficult i have better scores from more recently up also!

Every time I lose its because a strawberry gets flinged when I combine 2 things
if you have something in between two fruits you want to combine, then after they combine it typically gets flung. try to keep stuff that won't be part of the combination to the sides (it'll just fall down then)

On itchio there's a version called Suika Shapes with bunch of extra modes, including a square and triangle mode. The triangle mode seems especially interesting, since it seems much easier (lower skill floor), but I think it is very reasonable to go on forever in this mode if you play your cards right.

do you feel pnick has more single-player score attack appeal than other similar entries in the genre? I think the gameplay might be a fair bit more dynamic than say puyo tsu (altho puyo tsu does not have a similar endless score attack mode so not necessarily a great comparison)
sure id say its a better single player game than puyo but imo thats a really low bar lol

it kind of feels like a demo... but the mechanics themselves are actually pretty solid
That's an excellent record! The PSP and DS(Kato-chan no Kororonpe!) ports of Kollon/UBP are great games to play and see, so seeing this actually made me happy, since I've played the Arcade, PSP and DS ports and made great scores(and beat the arcade and campaign modes in them at least twice) and made a 10 chain in this game a few times. (I never recorded any videos about the game, though...) You did really well on setting a new record! And the fact that PSP has a secret ending(no space background like in Arcade, though...) on Level 100 has made me curious. PSP Kollon(+ DS Kollon) is always a sight to behold with its fast-paced gameplay.
haha this is far from my best run... i have better ones on hard and a 1cc of arcade mode hard up as well if you haven't already seen those. cheers!
nice run! only just recently hit S8 on texmaster myself and you handle janky stacks way better than i manage, half my runs past 500 die on stack management still :(
some of this is just the years of experience... but playing around dumb decisions by making obscene overhangs is kind of my specialty. i would much rather try to fill a dumb overhang than cover a center column hole, for example S8 is reeeeal close though. i think i jumped from S6 to GM in one shot way back when, so you're basically due for it any second (assuming you can beat the time limit!)
@@Zircean my best times are 300 in 3:45 ish and 500 in little over 6:30, so time limit wise im still pretty tight but under ideal conditions i think i can GM :D

Congratulations on the clear! Has anyone else cleared this mode? This is such an incredible feat to pull off, mostly because this game is a bit obscure and it's hard to find these days.
the dtet.zui.jp website has a leaderboard with at least a few clears. notably if you still have stocks at 300 you can actually play past 300 until you use them up that being said i think clearing it was also a requirement to unlock furthest, though the copy of dtet wandering around the internet has everything unlocked by default
