I adore New Capenna and do nit get the hate. I know the flavour and story of the set is a bit of a whiff but that’s not as important to me as I hope that gets fleshed out maybe in a future release. The set has a gorgeous treatment in the gilded foils. It has chase lands and also some of the most unique full art basics. Both of those are big deals to me. What I love the most though is how unique the Commanders are. A lot of them make people’s lists of their favourite or lists of underused underplayed and underrated. Henzie for example is ALWAYS mentioned in threads on Reddit for people asking about underrated commanders. Denry Klin is such a cool approach to counters. Raffine, Jetmir, Jonnie Fay are bangers. Ognis and Ziatora are such fun aggressive commanders. Kros is almost one of a kind with those shield counters. Beamtown is a little oppressive but certainly unique. I think the commanders will are now and will continue to be the equivalent of cult classics.

Pulling what you are after is always such a good feeling! I think I’ve only opened one pack of Streets, nice to see some of what’s in it!

Got super lucky with my box and pulled the cats Doubling Season (unfortunately not fracture) and the alternate art Sire of Seven Deaths. Nice pulls on this box!

I think those 'fractured' cards look ridiculous, but love the value they add. I don't know who is putting those in their decks, but selling one and being able to buy a whole new commander deck is pretty sweet.

out of 3 collectors booster boxes i only got into my money 2 out of 3, but if the prices settles after a month and as i expect many of those cards will go down, i will then only probably break even on one box. it always good to hit one of those Japanese showcase foils though.
