Yeah we have some of that mushy clay soil. Dirt moving, the struggle is real. Looking good. Super dry out there. Looks like maybe some rain on Monday and Tuesday. Take care.

Yeah that was a cold day. That was my birthday as well. When we woke up it said -17 with a wind chill of -29. Glad it has warmed up. We were very unimpressed by how crappy the city of St. Maries cleared the roads. Berms everywhere. Can’t wait for spring. The winter hasn’t been bad but ready for spring.
Hi Danielle 👋 yeah that was a stupid cold weekend.. after that, the 20s felt warm lol I heard they didn't do a very good job keeping them cleaned off either. c'mon St Maries. I would like to have one more good snow fall and then we can move on to spring :) this winter hasn't been that great. Snow, melt, snow, melt, I hate that.
Yup we do a lot of snow moving too. More coming soon.
I like to plow most of the time... but we'll eventually upgrade to plowing in a vehicle with heat :)

Congratulations on the elk harvest. We finally had some luck in October. Got three whitetail hunting and got one roadkill in the freezer. But no elk, didn’t have much time to put into hunting this past season. We still haven’t been able to move out to our property full time. Life happened not in the best way. Every night after work we head out to our property to take care of the animals. Not ideal to have animals out there when we aren’t out there full time. But anyhow. I hope all is well. I can’t believe I missed a couple of your postings. Usually I don’t. We shall see what life brings this year. Hopefully it better than last year. Thanks for sharing. Take care, see ya :)

Your garden is looking really good. Your garden is much further ahead of ours. My tomatoes are about the only thing that’s doing really well. Every thing else is on the struggle bus. We need to get some deer fencing up. The rabbits have taken out our peas, kohlrabi, beets and corn. We just have a five strand electric fence up right now. Next year we will take out a few more trees then we will put our permanent fence up. This year I’m calling our garden the no expectations garden. I’m hoping we get at least a few tomatoes. Eventually we might just have to put in a greenhouse. Thanks for sharing. Take care, see ya :)
No expectations lol that's great. I have some pretty good cats that'll help you with your rabbit problems. Fencing is a must. I tried to get away with not having it for a couple of years cause I hate the look of fencing but got tired of my garden getting eaten.

Nice buck there. Totally awesome. Never had white tail before, only mule deer. We went out by Emida for elk and deer with no luck. There’s just to many people out hunting. The animals have many places to hide. Another year without harvesting for us. Total bummer. The snow has rolled in. We got about 4 inches here in St. Maries. Another big storm moving in on Wednesday. We’ve been out hunting the last few days. There are so many different kinds of mushrooms out right now. Did you just recently find those chanterelles? The weather has been amazing. We found the chanterelles on the 3rd. That was so exciting. The weather has been awesome, actually surprised how many mushrooms are out. There are a lot of people out. We're selling to many out-of-state tags. Good luck on your hunt :)

Hey! Ya, it's beautiful up there! We've been up that way a couple times, but never floated until this summer. We did catch some really nice looking cutthroat, but threw them back. You should definitely make time and get up there. You'll ask yourself why haven't we've done this sooner?!

I like those cabins. They look awesome. Are you finding any morels? We went out to our new homestead property and found a few. Got enough to for a meal. Going out there today, we will see if we can find anymore. The ticks are out. Still waiting to put the garden out. Maybe after Memorial Day weekend we will get some plants in the ground. We found two morels so far. Your lucky! Since we moved here we still haven't found enough for a meal. I'm so excited to finally garden again! I have all my cooler weather veggies like peas, kale, spinach, broccoli, onion and cabbage planted and growing slowly. We need more sun! My tomatoes and peppers I'll start hardening off soon and put into our hoop house. I planted corn, beans, cucumber, squash and carrots the other day :) we'll see it could be to early yet. After memorial is a good time to start.
